Written by John Edward Betancourt THIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Whomever coined the phrase, ‘the audience loves a happy ending’, was only half right in their observation. Because while we do indeed enjoy seeing the main character save the day, or find true love, there is a dark side to storytelling that we all like to indulge in. For there is something quite powerful about seeing fictional humans go through strife and fight hard to see another day, and we crave this kind of storytelling simply because it is relatable. After all, life has its ups and downs and seeing others fight hard to overcome their problems is something that eases us right into a particular story. But the true irony of this fascinating aspect of how we consume entertainment, is that we only prefer this kind of story to be present in a handful of genres. One of said genres, is horror, because we more or less expect people to suffer and deal with strife in stories involving monsters and watching them overcome demons in both the literal and figurative sense is just delightful. Which means the other wrinkle in regard to this preference, is that a fair chunk of people don’t like to see the happy ending thrown into the mix when it comes to scary stories. We want the terror; we want the carnage and we want a payoff and that’s why I am able to understand why some fans are upset with Fear the Walking Dead right now. Because season five of this series tried something new and tried to mix positivity into the end of the world with fascinating results in my humble opinion. But so many more have been displeased with this change up and deem it as a ‘softening’ of the series. However, slowly but surely, the saga has been sliding back into darker territory and last night’s episode was perhaps the bleakest story to date when it comes to season five since our group of hope givers found themselves in a nearly impossible situation. Which is funny since ‘Channel 5’ started off in a more innocuous fashion since it initially focused upon how the Ginny Gang straight up stole the group’s documentary idea since our wily villain used the outposts scattered around the countryside to broadcast her group’s ‘story’. One that painted them as genuine saviors of mankind and architects of a better future. Which made it seem as though the only real challenge the group was going to face in this tale was an ugly copyright violation, but in the end, this merely served to misdirect us and set the stage for the tough situation in question. Because the time had come for Morgan and company to find a home at last, so that they could regroup and figure out how to offer safety and shelter and help to those in need, so the innocent didn’t find themselves under siege by Ginny and her lies, and that push for shelter was a tough one in its own right. For starters, they didn’t have a clue where their new home would be, and with limited fuel they had to be picky about where to look. But as this universe is wont to do, inspiration often arrives in the most unique ways imaginable. And the discovery of a walker from another Humbug Gulch, the original one in fact, prompted the group to make the dangerous trek to what might be a safe space for them to regroup at last, and that’s when the episode started to introduce some of the danger and strife in question. For what should have been a simple straight shot to the Gulch was complicated by the fact that Grace was still struggling with her health, and that prompted the group to make a quick pit stop to find her some fluids and the detour they were forced to take put them in the most precarious situation imaginable. Because they encountered a rickety bridge, one that wouldn’t allow for the cars to cross safely, and while they worked to put together a safe way to get to the other side, good ol’ Ginny showed up to make life difficult. For she was hell bent on getting Morgan and his people to join her and when the group refused her overtures once again, she pushed the situation to the limit by firing her weapons into the air, effectively drawing the dead toward the bridge. Which put the group in panic mode and forced them to scurry across to avoid a fate worse than death. And while they were able to escape a small herd, they lost Tom in the process and the last of their supplies and that’s when the story showed us what happens when good people are put in quite the desperate situation. Because they put all of their hope into the Gulch, and what they saw upon their arrival, robbed them of every ounce of that hope. For the OG Gulch was filled to the brim with the living dead, and without any food or water or supplies, they felt their only chance at survival, was to do the impossible and radio Ginny’s Gang for help and well, it doesn’t get more desperate than that and it’s a decision that may cause more harm than good since Virginia is clearly not to be trusted in the slightest. If anything, I rather enjoyed the vastly different vibe that this episode presented the audience with. Because this one was devoid of this season’s trademark commentary and lessons, this was just the group executing what they believe in to a tee, and doing whatever they had to in order to find a sense of safety and that makes their decision at the end of this episode, devastating to say the least. Because this group is supposed to find the best way forward, and they don’t give up. But sometimes, the villain wins, and sometimes we are forced to ask for help when we don’t want to, and it was just heartbreaking and powerful to see genuinely good people cave into the pressure and turn to the anthesis of what they’ve worked toward, for help. Plus, I also loved how Dwight walked away from this before he saw a familiar cycle start over again since his silence and frustration reminded us of how he made a similar decision, one that he ended up regretting when Negan and the Saviors showed their true colors, just as Ginny is beginning to. If anything, this was a jarring ending, the kind that stuns you and really, what has me nervous when it comes to next week’s season finale, is how Ginny is going to handle their surrender. Because she’s made it clear that not everyone gets to wear that fancy little key, and if they don’t serve her a good purpose, they may find themselves back in the wild. Which means this cry for help may be all for naught and I can only hope the group finds a better solution, before Ginny arrives at the Gulch. Until next time.

Written by Scott Edwards Changing jobs and moving to new places is something that a lot of us have to do these days. Although it may or may not be necessary, everyone has to go through this at one point of another in our lives. Trying to fit in with a new crowd is one of the hardest things to do, especially if the new crowd is set in their old ways and you are not accustomed to their behaviors. The Bramford’s are in the same boat, since they are moving out of the city and into the small community of Stull. Pastor Dan received an offer for the position that is going to be vacated by long time Pastor Kingsman. Not knowing what to expect for himself or his wife and three children, Dan is not detoured by the strange quirks he has noticed around the outskirts of town. Dan’s two daughters are looking for the best things to do around town, always being best friends and standing up for each other, Mary and Rebecca are prepared to find something more. Being big city kids, they should have no issues fitting in with a smaller community and making friends. After sitting through her father’s first sermon, Rebecca is approached by a young man about her age that does not seem to be as enthralled with the church as the rest of the town. Noah has the looks and appeal that Rebecca is looking for in small town America but seems to be holding back from telling her too much about himself. Rebecca notices that the town is a little strange but is unable to pinpoint what is really wrong with it. Having strange dreams of people watching the house along with an uninvited guest in her bedroom that tries to harm her, Rebecca feels like something is wrong but is put at ease by young Noah. Mary does not seem to notice anything strange around the town, other than biting into a cake that had a sharp tooth baked in it. But soon Mary and her family will quickly leanr that they have been chosen for something more than they signed up for. An enjoyable horror flick, one that plays on the age old theme of trust since someone we should feel safe around in this movie, is as rotten as they come and that just stays true to an eighties style horror movie. The love between the sisters is the main highlight of this film and is exploited well when a strange sickness takes Mary from her normal state. The cast is great, and I love this movie’s out of the ordinary storyline that will slowly suck you in and keep you intrigued for the rest of the film. Keeping your family safe should always be a first priority, but when it is the family that is trying to harm you… what do you do? Stay Scared. Written by Scott Edwards Like most people, I get a little excited when I hear that there is a new ghost photo or video out there that would prove that there is an afterlife, but alas, most of them are just specks on a lens, or flat out fake. While I have seen and heard things that I cannot explain, I am always looking for the best evidence out there to prove to a skeptic that there is something out there. Even with the best evidence, there is always a way to poke a hole into it, so sometimes you will have to believe that people will trust what you saw. You may never know when or where you might find a good haunted place to go ghost hunting, so just keep your camera rolling and whatever you find, is what you will be able to stand by. Friends Katie, Sophie and Alex are taking their ride over to their friend’s Ryan’s house when they get a quick scare from Ryan himself. Sneaking up on his female friends, Ryan is happy with his actions and challenges the girls to a race home. Beating them soundly, the girls take notice that Ryan is holding his chest from pushing himself too hard and may need some attention. Begging his friends not to tell his mom what he did, Ryan is ashamed of them for giving him up the minute he walks in the door. With his mother having him put his oxygen on and trying to get him to calm down, the group huddle up on the couch and pull out their cell phones and come across an interesting post. Classmate Danny posted that there are some haunted woods behind a nearby housing development, complete with a picture that might or might not be a ghost. The girls are more than willing to check it out, as is Ryan, but he is quickly informed that he needs to sit this one out. Leaving their friend at home, the girls make their way to the woods and get into a discussion of what a ghost might actually look like. Not knowing for sure, they hear something that is out of place and find that Ryan has made his way to the woods as well. As the girls are getting ready to leave, they notice that Ryan is no longer tagging along with them and they know that with his weak heart, he may get into trouble when riding home. Trying to find him along the street as they make it back to his house, the girls are shocked to find out that Ryan had passed away while they were out, so who did they see in the woods? This is a fun little ghost story, with a couple of fun jump scares and a friendship that may be everlasting. I was a little disappointed in Ryan however, if you know that you should not push yourself too hard, even to impress someone, you should put your health first, man! The girls’ excitement to go to the woods to find the ghost was pretty much on point to what I would expect, and being on edge during the hunt, well, that is how it always is. With a bike race, an ailing friend, a can of oxygen, a ghost hunt, cell phones, sticks cracking, some creepy woods and a friendship that may never die, this is just the story of good friends looking for a good time and finding out that ghosts might actually exist. Stay Scared. See ‘Ghost in the Woods’ on Amazon Prime. Written by Scott Edwards It is natural to be curious about things, shoot that is what makes us who we are. Asking questions and looking for answers is part of our nature, since there really should be nothing that we cannot find an answer to these days. But our curiosity can come at a price, as asking too many questions can be a bad thing, especially if the answers are not what we are looking for. Make sure to put a limit on how deep you want to delve into a subject or you might find that the answers are much worse than you could have ever expected. Lying on her couch, a woman is almost asleep when she hears a rapping on the door. Opening the door to find no one there, she sees a note posted on her door that her delivery has been made. Not seeing anything in the hallway, she shrugs it off, but when she looks back into her living room she sees something that is very out of place. A black altar sits in the middle of her room and looking around for anyone that could have put it there, she finds no one yet again. Looking at the strange shrine sitting in her room, the woman is shocked to see it open by its own accord with a special note inside. Looking inside the altar, the woman spots a little black box inside with a note attached that says ‘Do Not Open’. Mouthing these words, the woman gives pause as she looks around her apartment once again to find that there is no one watching, so she figures, what could go wrong? Unhooking the clasp on the front of the box, the woman waits another moment to see if anyone is watching, and being comfortable that she is all alone, she proceeds to open the box. As a vicious eruption leaves the box as it is opened, the woman finds out first hand why it should have stayed shut, but will she be able to pass this note on? This is a pretty simple little horror short that delivers on the main message, if the box says, ‘do not open’, you probably should not open it. As the story is paced very quickly, it is easy to see where the quick pauses add a nice effect to the story telling, even though you might know what is coming. I liked how the hesitation takes place when receiving the strange package, and before opening it to see what is housed inside. With a mysterious knock, a note, a strange black altar, a black box urging not to be opened, a strange curiosity and some spot on CGI, this story will make you think twice about following the directions of a stranger, especially if you want to know what is hiding out in a small box. Although I was not lucky enough to have a little brother to beat up, or little sister to be overly protective of, I still found it great looking after some of my friend’s siblings while they grew up. Regardless of what they do, family should always come first. That is what Cody, Q and Elroy believe in as they are part of a biker gang, standing up for each other’s downfalls. Heading up to an old bikers' hang out for their mother's birthday, the three give each other a hard time, but make sure that each one is alright at all times. Cody is his mother’s favorite and will do anything for her and meets up with his ex-girlfriend Michelle at the party. With their recent break up, Michelle brings her new boyfriend to the occasion, if for anything else, to make Cody jealous. As the party breaks up, the night just begins. Michelle’s little sister Meagan, who has eyes for Cody is stranded at the old house as her sister left early. Cody, Q and Elroy are spending the night as it was a night of celebration and they all had too much to drink. As Q is telling Cody what the biker gang expects from him, a blood covered Michelle returns to the house, looking for help. But before they can do that a strange interference shuts down their cell phone signals, along with killing the batteries in their cars, so the group starts to hunker down for the night. Needing to find help for Michelle and trying to get back to civilization, the group encounters so much more. Michelle awakens from her slumber looking for blood as she attacks Elroy. Being possessed, she has no idea what is really happening as she tears the young man to shreds. An ancient evil has been awakened in the old bikers' hang out that no one is able to control. Cody and Q try to protect the girls in the house but are met with a new opposition that could keep anyone from leaving alive. A band, made up of greasers from the fifties takes over the house, and they are led by a man named Vernon who is only looking for one thing… Michelle and what is inside of her. Being a B movie addict, I fail to see where The Violent Kind falls short. For it features powerful performances, a decent storyline and an unexplained phenomenon and that is more than enough to keep me entertained. The story is more about family and love than anything else, the blood and violence are simply a bonus. As family dynamics are explored in this film, a love story emerges and just to keep you intrigued, there’s a bit of possession, some demon types and some blood flowing across the screen. This is just a fun film with a couple twists that arise as you try to figure out what is really happening. Stay Scared Written by Scott Edwards Birthdays can be strange times every once in a while. Sometimes you get to run into family members that you never knew that you had and then, you get presents from them, that may seem nice, but are really something that you are not into, or so you think. Granted, getting weirded out by some gifts can be very common, in the past and very much so in the future as you can get almost anything from the internet. But I am always a firm believer that you should get to know all of your family, no matter how out there they might be, since they are family and should have some part in your overall life. With that being said, you don’t always need to keep them close to you, as they might have something a little more sinister in store for you in the future. After a monstrous birthday party, young Noah retreats to his room and puts on a record that he received from an aunt he never knew existed before today. Listening to the ghostly voices and ghastly sounds coming from the record player, he turns to see his mother standing in the doorway. With nothing but regret for the terrible birthday, Noah’s mother tries to apologize, putting all of the blame on herself. Knowing that her son has not been able to move forward since the death of his father, she does not know what else to do and lets her son go on about his night, with the promise that the strange record will be sent out of the house in the morning. Before his mother leaves, Noah tries to talk to her with no avail. Going to bed with the record still playing, Noah wakes up to the voices and strange sounds being more pronounced. Hearing his mother’s voice on the record gets the boy out of bed and forces him to try and find out what is going on. Trying to talk to the record to find his mother a way back to this world, the other voices wish him a happy birthday from his Aunt Debbie which forces the boy to retreat. As the record continues to play in the boy’s room, the situation seems to get bleaker as he discovers it is looking for more than just being played, it needs a young soul to survive. To be honest, I got a little caught up in this horror short, as I too have been privy to getting presents from relatives that I have never met before and they were, for a lack of putting it any better, very strange. I really did enjoy the mother’s interaction before she left Noah’s room, trying to put all of the blame on herself, but when her son tried to ask her to stay, well, sorry, no best mom awards for this woman. With a creepy record, an unknown relative, a demon voice, some eerie sounds, the call of a mother and a record player that will not stop, no matter what is done to it, this is a good little story that will get one wondering, what if the hidden messages in our music are no longer hidden and want to collect their rightful bounty. Stay Scared. Watch ‘Creak and Shriek’ on Amazon Prime. Written by Scott Edwards No matter what some people think, there is always something behind Urban Legends. For that haunted house where people were supposedly carved up, could have once been owned by a famous surgeon, or the person whose spirit walks the streets of a small town looking for justice, might have died under circumstances involving their bad reputation. Finding out what leads to these stories is important, so that we have a better understanding of why people believe in them, even though it is just easier to say that people are stupid for doing so. While I am not sold completely on the legend involving people chanting something into mirrors in the dead of night, you will not find me doing it anytime soon, I mean, haven’t you ever seen Candyman??? That movie still messes with me to this day. Celebrating her sixteenth birthday on Halloween, young Mary is having a great time with a couple of her girlfriends, but as the night moves in, so does the boredom. With one friend suggesting that they watch a scary movie, Mary is quick to point out that she does not believe in that paranormal stuff, and besides that, it is not scary to her at all. Needing to come up with another plan to make the night somewhat memorable, the friends suggest a Bloody Mary session in the upstairs bathroom. Not believing that anything will happen, Mary goes along with the idea and the girls head upstairs. As midnight quickly approaches, the girls set up several candles in the bathroom and are ready to start the Bloody Mary chant to see if what they have heard and read about is real. After the third Bloody Mary makes its way out of their mouths, the girls stand and wait while the spirit is forced to manifest once again. Unbeknown to Mary’s parent’s downstairs what the girls are up to, they are making their own little racket while cleaning up the mess from the night’s party, not being able to hear a thing from the upstairs. As the apparent, failed experiment into the urban legend, comes to an end, the girls find out firsthand that Bloody Mary is real and that she has a message for all of the non-believers. Just a new take on an old Urban Legend that seems to make its way around all of the time on the internet these days. While Bloody Mary usually seems to like to freak people out a little bit, this one is looking for blood and really does not like haters in any way. I liked how the story took you to Bloody Mary’s grave and gave you an idea why she might be upset when people don’t believe in her, it seemed to be a long trip and anyone would be upset with having to do that once a night. With a birthday party, some cake, plenty of dirty dishes, some candles, a non-believer, some curious friends, a loud dishwasher and a pissed off spirit, this is just a fun look as to where the Bloody Mary legend can be off to next. Stay Scared. See ‘Bloody Mary’ on Amazon Prime. Written by John Edward Betancourt THIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...I’ve always found it fascinating how the ghost story continues to endure and remain pure in this modern era of scary storytelling. For horror is a genre that loves to evolve with the times and right now its focused heavily on the evil that men do and the darkness that resides within all of us because that’s what truly terrifies us in the moment, and that examination is tangible and sound in an era where technology and science continue to debunk and disassemble myths about what goes bump in the night. Which bring us back to the ghost story and its ability to survive in the midst of this age of information, because tales of spirits that roam our world continue to captivate and enthrall audiences at every turn. That’s likely related to the fact that science still cannot answer exactly what happens to the very essence of who we are, when we die, and the sheer possibility that we have a soul that transitions into another plane of existence is a fascinating prospect, one that fuels our imagination in ways we never thought possible. But personally, I think what truly draws us into the ghost story, is that it often explores how we never quite lose our humanity when we transition into something more, since we meet spirits that are conflicted and unable to leave their emotions behind in these tales, and I think that’s why I’ve been so enamored with AMC’s The Terror: Infamy. Because not only has this story provided us with mystique and solid scares, it’s genuinely given us a confused spirit that doesn’t understand anything outside of its sorrow and for proof, look no further than last night’s episode. For ‘Taizo’ offered up quite the tale, one that provided us with a fascinating background story for the Yurei that’s been terrorizing the good folks of Terminal Island, and one that straight up dropped a powerful surprise into our laps. But before we get to said surprise, let’s talk about Yuko and what made her the vengeful spirit we’ve known from the get-go, because it turns out that her journey from person to Yurei is quite the tragic tale, one grounded in rejection. For long ago she was going to be Hideo Furaya’s bride, but the revelation that she was pregnant upon her arrival to the United States was more than Hideo could bear and he quickly cast her out into the world for being impure and that led to some tough times for Yuko. Because she gave birth to her baby while living on the streets and struggled to put food in her baby’s mouth and rather than risk its health and safety, she surrendered the baby for adoption and then handled her failure as a mother in extreme fashion, by committing suicide. Which bring us to the more mystical elements of this tale. For shortly after jumping off a bridge, she awoke in a beautiful place, one occupied by the same woman who offered Yuko kind words before she made her fateful decision, and it didn’t take long for her to figure out, that this was the afterlife and this wonderful little slice of paradise is one that a relative from Yuko’s bloodline created, in order to keep the souls of future family members safe. But what captivated Yuko was not the gentle world she found in death, but the power she could yield as a spirit and when given the right opportunity, she took over this place and manipulated it to bend to her will so that she could return to our world and handle the unfinished business in her heart. Which in essence, involved resuming her role as a mother, and that’s where the surprise in question came into play. For Chester didn’t return home in this tale empty handed, the Yurei was with him all the way once again, and her constant desire to be near Chester prompted a hard truth to come to the surface in that; Yuko is Chester’s biological mother. Which is quite the bombshell to say the least, one that Chester struggled to process, but his adopted parents let him know of this truth and why they took him in. But while it was fascinating to learn of Yuko’s unfortunate origin and discover the real reasons as to why she’s been chasing Chester/Taizo after all these years, one cannot forget that she is downright dangerous, and that prompted Chester and his family to destroy her body and end this madness. But judging from Yuko’s response in the afterlife and the ominous image at the end of this tale, one has to wonder if the nightmare is truly over. When all is said and done however, wow, what an incredible episode. I mean, I knew it was only a matter of time before we learned about Yuko’s origins as a spirit, but I expected this series to handle that in linear fashion, by say, having Chester dive into her past on his own and uncover the truth by more traditional means. But here we are, basking in the wonder of a tale that took us places we rarely go in stories such as this and it was just fascinating to see the afterlife and all the quirks that come with it and really, kudos to the folks behind the scenes for providing us with a bold and wild episode that was eerie and captivating and stunning and honestly, I have to admit that I’m hungry for more. For this is a game-changer for this story, and nothing will be the same after this revelation and it should be interesting to see what comes next, now that Yuko’s spirit seems to be free of its primary restraints. Until next time. Written by Scott Edwards Myths and legends have to have some sort of truth behind them. With some of the things that they encompass, it would be hard to imagine someone trying to make it up. The same goes for urban legends about haunted houses, you have to believe that there is something in the house that scared the giblets out of somebody at some point, but would you like to be the one to prove the legend wrong? Looking for the truth behind the stories that you have heard about since you have been a child, or looking to find out what actually happened in your new neighborhood could make you feel better, but if you find out the truth about what really happened, will you be disappointed when it is not what you expected? Alex Wright is a film student and a lover of everything horror. He has even taken to making up vlogs about the movies he watches since he is starting to understand what is behind making a good movie. But there is one film that he cannot stand, Grave Encounters. With the poor camera work, lack of emotions from the actors and a terrible ending, Alex makes sure that the world hears his thoughts and hopefully people turn away from watching this movie. But when reading the responses on his site, Alex gets some unseen footage from the movie and wants to confront the person who sent it. Digging into the history of the movie, Alex finds that everyone associated with it has gone missing or died in a mysterious way. After calling out to his followers, Alex finds that there is one survivor living up in Washington, but when he goes to visit Sean Rogerson, a.k.a. Lance Preston from the first film, he finds that the man is still missing, and nobody knows where he is. Wanting to prove one way or another that the movie is real and not something that was made up to scare people, Alex does some more digging and after getting some messages from an internet account named DeathAwaits666, he is able to get an interview inside of the building that the movie was shot in. Even though he does not have permission to visit the building, Alex takes his video crew with him to go and make the best horror movie they have ever seen. Needing to find out the secret behind what actually happened in the building ten years ago, Alex follows the same script as the group that was lost in the building before him. Not fearing the ghosts, spirits or demons that infest the halls, the group try capture something, but it takes the arrival of a rent-a-cop to make the building come to life. As the building only takes people that are on their own, Alex refuses to let his fiends out of his sight, but the building has a mind of its own and will stop at nothing to get its movie made, along with the final cut. A pretty good follow up to the original that takes you a little bit further down the rabbit hole in seeing what the old head doctor of the hospital was really up to. I was happy to see they hit another portion of the hospital and discovered the kid’s area and had a little ghost kid flying through the halls at them. Without knowing who or what is really occupying the old building, it seems like a place that nobody should ever try to enter, but still with the success of the first movie, everyone is trying to find out where it really is and get a chance to see what happens in it firsthand. As I have said in the past, not a huge fan of the first person shooter movies, since you never really get to see enough of what is attacking your characters, but in this movie, you might want them to pull away, just a bit sooner. With plenty of things that go bump in the night, this is a place that I am pretty sure I would not want to enter, especially with all of the asbestos inside the building. Stay Scared. Written by Scott Edwards It is always good to take a quick trip out to be with nature, even if it is only for a couple of hours. Being able to shut out the noise that you cannot get away from in the city is a good time and something that more of us need to try. With no cell phone, no television, no internet, it makes for a peace that we would not normally get when staying home for the weekend. Just know however, that nature may have its own plans for you when you get there, as the wildlife and other creatures may be looking to have some fun with a newcomer. Pulling onto the backroad that will take him into the woods, a man and his dog listen to the radio and hear that the meteorite storm is a little heavier than normal this time of year. Thinking nothing of this, especially since it will just be himself and his dog for the weekend, the man continues on to find the right camping spot. Passing a sign that says that they are entering Bigfoot Country, the man pays the sign no mind, since there is no such thing as Bigfoot. With a fire set in the middle of camp, the man and his dog have a great time telling stories and taking selfies and when bedtime comes, they are both tuckered out and ready for a great undisturbed sleep. While the two are asleep in the tent, a meteor falls from the sky and the dog wakes up and is acting kind of concerned. Pawing at his owner, the dog knows that there is something in the woods and a large growl lets the man know that they are not alone. Not knowing who or what is outside of the tent, the man is shocked when a large woodland beast takes him from his humble confines. Screaming all the way to the Bigfoot’s camp, the man is quickly able to escape, only to find that he is lost in the woods and stumbles upon an old graveyard that slowly comes back to life. Being able to find his tent and his dog, the man begs his best friend to get to safety, as an invasion is taking place, but little does the man know what this really means. Okay, this horror short made me laugh a little too much and I am not ashamed to say it. With some old school special effects, it is just a joy to see that some filmmakers are not afraid to make something silly for the masses to see. I really liked how it took a crashing UFO to make the forest come to life and while the man is the overall target of everything that is taking place, the dog steals the show hands down. With a meteor shower, a crashing UFO, a Bigfoot, some aliens, some zombies, an abduction, a weak tractor beam, and an owl who seems to know what is going on, this is just a fun little alien/Bigfoot/zombie movie that will leave you wondering what is really going on in the woods when no one is around. Stay Scared. See ‘BEINGS’ on Amazon Prime. |
