Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Can we just take a minute to appreciate Lucifer dressed as Santa in Rowena's dream!? Because that was utterly amazing. I don't care what anyone says, that's the best thing to ever happen. Crowley getting a Sam Winchester POP! figure, even better. It's the best Christmas ever! I always love how Supernatural caters to their fans in the best ways. This episode was basically a ton of fun with a lot of feels. Alright, that's basically every episode ever. But, really. Sam being in hell with Luci is kind of bad. What I really liked was how the episode started with a bit of fun. Granted it's not all fun and games. Still, it was oddly nice to have a slightly lighter tone around the heaviness of the topic. Lucifer taking Sam down a walk of memory lane was kind of sad in a lot of ways. The constant belittling of Sam's previous actions was kind of cruel. But the devil is anything if not tricky like that. Beating Sam's will power down was just as easy as walking for the once beloved angel. Sadly for me, I didn't like any of it. Poor Moose! I will say, his amazing monologue on how he wouldn't give in to Lucifer was, well, magic! That's the moose we know and love! Even if it kind of back fired..... The scene with Castiel meeting Ambriel was adorable. However, her getting eating by Amara was more than just sad. The little angel had only been on screen for a short time, but she made a lasting impression. At least Amara didn't hurt our Cas! Could you even imagine losing Castiel for real? Me either. Let's be honest, that wouldn't happen. It's bad enough we lost Gabriel, which I'm still in denial over. Amara's little message being carved into poor Cas's chest....that wasn't very nice! But, you know, it did make the whole thing more ominous. The highlight, aside from the opening, was definitely the fight between Sam, Dean, Cas, and Lucifer. Look, we all knew Lucifer was powerful and strong, and did I mention powerful? But damn! Two well trained hunters and one angel didn't even stand a chance! Crowley and the Witch catcher (thanks to Billy) saved the day! Also! Billy is back! Guys!!! I know I shouldn't, but I adore her. She's one of the few reapers. aside from Tessa, we actually get to see. Granted, she's so not on Team Winchester's side, but she's awesome in her own way. I love seeing her, even for the short time. And Crowley calling Dean and betraying Rowena? Kind of epic, but we know Crowley is friends with the boys, even if he denies it. They may fight, but Crowley is still one of my favorite characters, for this very reason. At least we trust he'll always take care of himself. Geeking out about this episode just reminds me as to why I love this show. Sam and Dean saving the world with Cas and even Crowley? Okay, sure, but Amara surviving the mega smite, bad. But she's a fun antagonist. Plus, I feel there's a lot there we need to really....well, know. Either way! Holy cow you guys! That ending! I can't even with all the emotions! Cas is now Lucifer!? How does that work!! He's an angel! Right? Can an angel inhabit another angels body's!? Apparently! And Sam and Dean have no clue! And Crowley finally got to know why Rowena hated him, only to watch her be killed by Lucifer, who is now Cas! I can't! And we have to wait an entire week to find out what happens! Guys! No!

Written by John Edward BetancourtWhen it comes to our favorite films, we would be lying if we said that we didn't obsess over every single detail about them. When a movie truly captivates you and sucks you in, you have to know more about the world and the story and everything in between and the advent of DVD allowed for us to achieve that goal of total knowledge. But as the years have progressed, commentaries and special features are simply common place anymore so it's rare to find a company that realizes that the extras are important...but they have to be special as well and one company that understands this and executes incredible releases every single chance they get is Shout Factory. I've yet to buy a blu ray from them that wasn't filled to the brim with incredible extras and recently, they managed to release the definitive edition of Sam Raimi's horror/comedy masterpiece, Army of Darkness. What makes this particular Collector's Edition stand out above the rest begins with the basics, the film itself. Once again Shout Factory has outdone themselves with an incredible high definition transfer of the film giving Army of Darkness a look and feel I've never experienced before with how crisp and beautiful it looks now. There are details to be found in this film I've never seen before and it doesn't end there. Not only did they remaster the theatrical cut of the film, but this three disc set includes the Director's Cut, with the original ending remastered as well and seeing that in high def for the first time ever is a true treat and you'll also find the International Version and Television Version in this set as well. But the extras that I made mention of, the ones that bring back that sense of wonder are the true highlight of this entire release. A fascinating new 96 minute documentary on the making of the film entitled Medieval Times: The Making of Army of Darkness takes you deep into the process of how the film was made with interviews from Bruce Campbell and the like and this documentary is just the beginning since you'll find deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage from KNB Effects, vintage behind the scenes footage and interviews from back in the day and the list simply goes on and on. I personally have owned this Collector's Edition for about a week now and I'm still pouring over the incredible library of special features, it's that vast. But what matters most when it comes to picking this particular Edition up, is the fact that this is the one that finally pays Army of Darkness the respect it is due. I've never seen it look or sound better and this is the finest set of extras I've ever seen when it comes to this film. If you're an Evil Dead then this is a must own to say the least and my thanks go out to Shout Factory once again for putting together such an incredible release and I really cannot wait to see what this company has in store for us in 2016.
