Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...This weeks Tomorrow People has my three favorite things! Murder, deception, and manipulation. What could make this show even better? Robbie Amell with his shirt off. Oh wait...guess it had my four favorite things? We start off with a flashback; Cara in high school at some dance. Turns our she's deaf and human! Some guy asks her to go some place more quiet. Then decides he wants more than Cara is willing to offer. She gets away and runs but he follows and tackles her. In an explosion of emotion, Cara's powers manifest themselves and she sends the boy flying off and away from her. Suddenly she's able to hear; which would be cool and overwhelming at the same time. As it turns out; Cara threw the boy so hard he hit his head and died. She's arrested for his murder (in the real world it would be self defense) and is taken to a cell. Back in the real world, present day Cara is having a bad day and trouble with her powers. Stephen isn't fairing so well with his either. At a party with his friend (who I'm not fond of so her name's not important), his mind reading powers are going a bit haywire. He over hears the thoughts of a girl, Emily, and doesn't know how to help the suicidal teen. Stephen's dilemma over the morality of what to do gets pushed to the side when John needs him to sneak into Ultra's security level and place a USB drive into their mainframe. Nothing ever goes according to plan; Jed catches him shortly after the act is done and Stephen is forced to talk to his uncle, who has the moral compass of a wasp and also tells Stephen to just let Emily off herself. He then has the floor searched; finds the drive in his computer and sets a trap. Cara is then captured and Stephen has no choice but to offer his uncle help in an attempt to save her. If Stephen doesn't "cure" her with an injection, then Jed will kill her. Stephen offers to "cure" her himself, while Jed watches. In the midst of Cara's fighting, Stephen once again stops time, injects her with saline solution instead. In turn, Cara offers to help save Emily and talks the girl out of killing herself. She then shares her past memory of the night her father kicked her out with Stephen. After School Special Moment #53 follows where Stephen tells her that her past shouldn't define her and that they can help humans and this all coexist peacefully. The end, right? Nope! Just before Stephen left, his friend showed up to check on Emily and sees him vanish. She them confronts him over the whole thing; threatening to find the truth herself if he won't tell her. Next week looks promising with Stephen's mom making another appearance! She has Jed over and asks if Stephen is working for Ultra. What exactly does mom know about her husbands brother? I have a feeling she knows more than she's letting on. Only time will tell!

Written by: ShaeThe finale so large they split it into two episodes. Or aired both both at the same time; which hardly ever happens. Either way, I count this as a win and a sad moment. My Tuesday nights will not be as awesome anymore. But! Tweeting with Paul will still hopefully be a thing! So! During the first half of the finale, Regina found out that Kristin and Molly lied about passing out all the flyers. She'd found the stack in the video game room of E3 and personally reprimanded them for lying. Molly cried, Kristin looked guilty. Mike decided this wasn't acceptable and chewed Regina out for making Molly cry which she technically didn't do; Molly cried on her own, but did disobey Regina…so…either way it was a great lesson for everyone on how not to talk to their boss. Mine are awesome by the way and I hope they know how much I love them! After that, Regina tasks the Interns with picking 'groups'. One group goes to the office and works on the ComiKaze launch party, the other clears out a storage unit and finds a surfboard she wants for said launch party. Mike, Kristin, and Molly head to the office. Paul, Andrew, Sal and Dani take the storage unit! Things are tense and unsaid between Mike and Molly while Sal and Dani are awkwardly adorable. At the office, the work for the party planning gets under way. Molly contacts cosplayers for the event; Kristin picks up dry-cleaning, and Mike tries to secure a truck and a red carpet for the event. Meanwhile, Dani, Paul, Andrew, and Sal get the storage unit all organized, the surf board in the car, and a surprise from the owner of the unit and the personal friend of Regina; Elvira. Who, as gratitude, takes them all to lunch…where Paul can't stop insulting the actress. She gives as good as she get's though! Eventually the group reunites and they decide to blow off some steam. Enter, the LARPing! I have to admit, I'm not into LARPing myself, but it looked cool. Mike got a little too into it, as did Molly and Paul. It was all okay though; they blew off some steam and spent an amazing evening together as a group. Then came the ComiKaze launch party! Cosplayers enlisted by Molly showed up to take pictures and have fun with the guests. Flyers were given out, and there was of course, a photo booth. The whole thing took place in a Harry Potter themed event room; structured to look exactly like a smaller version of The Great Hall, Michelle would have lost it if she was there! Jinyo and Victoria from Heroes of Cosplay made an appearance as cosplayers for the event. As all things must though, the event ended. And thus signaled the ending of the show. The next day, Regina met with each Intern individually. As it turns out, there is one job at Stan Lee's ComiKaze con and only one Intern can fill that spot. Despite Regina's wish to hire them all, it came down to the personal talks to solidify her decision as to who would be working for her. Dani, much to Molly's disappointment, got the job. Though many of the Intern's were let down at their loss for the opportunity, they were all happy for Dani. Who, is currently not dating Sal and is still working for Regina. It's sad to know that the show is over, however, all the Interns will be appearing at Stan Lee's ComiKaze Con, at the Los Angeles Convention Center; November 1-3. So, if you're in the area and have a chance to go; go for me! I wish I could be going, but sadly, I won't be able to make it. That's okay! The power of the internet is an amazing thing! I just hope this series finale turns out to be a season finale and we get more Fangasm next year! Stan, if you ever need another Intern, I'm really good at baking cookies! Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. brought their awesome game again this week! It's not hard to see why ABC picked them up for a full first season! That's right! A full first season you guys! With the team bonding and getting closer to one another it seems as if nothing could possible tear them apart, right? Wrong! Just when we think things are all fine, warm, and cozy, BAM! The very fabric of the team that Coulson has worked so hard to build, is being torn at! That's okay, though, Agent Phil Coulson always works things out in the end. Hey, at least this show only tugs at your feels a little. When a man under S.H.I.E.L.D. supervision goes missing, Coulson's team is called in to help investigate. Before they even land in Hong Kong, it's discovered that Rising Tide (the organization that Skye worked for before joining the team) was behind the information leak that lead to the 'kidnapping' of their target. Skye tracks down the hacker responsible, but warns him before Agent Ward can take the guy down. Of course, Skye meets the other hacker in his own apartment. We find out that they're more than just hacker buddies…but well, together… May follows them, finds out that Skye tipped off the suspect, and that she's also keeping secrets from the team (about time). There's yelling…Coulson is really good at being angry. And of course, plot twists. Scorch, as he's now called, is a pyro-kinetic with something very special. His blood platelets protect his skin from burning when he magically conjures fire out of thin air. The Girl in the Flower Dress finds him, inspires him; takes him back to a lab and studies him. Then removes said platelets from his blood. We find out that she's working with the same organization from the first episode. Scorpion is back! And she's got an ally in prison that is more than just an asset. Unfortunately you can't save them all, and Scorch doesn't survive the ending of the episode. Skye's now ex-boyfriend (they broke up somewhere in the middle of the episode…they'd both changed. You know, he took money to sell information and she's now working for 'the man') is let go; with a special bracelet around his wrist designed by S.H.I.E.L.D. to disable him from being around electronics for a while. EMP maybe? Meanwhile, Skye's job security is on the line. Coulson pulls her into his office, yells, and finally, finally, we learn what's been really going on. Turns out Skye's been searching for her parents. Her search lead her to a classified, blacked out, S.H.I.E.L.D. document. Which brought her to the organization. Coulson warns her that she may not want to know what really happened to them. Then shortly after offers his help. She too gets a bracelet; until she can be trusted. Were Skye's parents S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives? Or were they taken out by the organization? Will Ward ever forgive her? Are Fitz and Simmons together? And, seriously, what happened to Phil!? Tahiti my butt! Next week offer's more promising answers…or maybe just more questions! Will we get any more surprise guest stars? I'd personally love to see Black Widow and Hawkeye make an appearance! Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...We are now only on the second episode in the series and it's filled with a lot of 'I told you so' moments. Stephen, who now works for Ultra, finds out that this organization is everything Cara and John warned him about. As it turns out, uncle Jed doesn't play as nicely as Stephen had thought. A renegade teen that happens to be a Tomorrow People (Person?) is using his powers to rob banks. The kid is so good, he has the power to telekinetically over power people and force them to do as he wishes. Which ends pretty well for him…until Ultra and Jed find out about him. Then things get really hairy. Stephen finds out that Jed plans to have the kid killed. So he tries to go to Cara and John for some help; but they decide to stay out of things. John tries to talk sense into Stephen, who refuses, once again, to leave Ultra. Cara gives Stephen John's watch (which also happened to be Stephen's dad's…) hat has a chip in it; blocking all other telepaths from entering his mind, so long as he wears it. The Tomorrow People are also referred to as the three T's; telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation; the three abilities every one of them has. Ultra is studying them, as well as finding a way to either make them 'normal' or kill them. Jed continuously refers to the Tomorrow People as not being human. While Cara and John suggest that they're the next step in mankind's evolutionary journey. Stephen eventually gets John and Cara to help. They rescue the kid and convince him to join their group. Stephen decides he needs to leave Ultra for his, and the groups, safety. However, Cara and John convince him to stay. If they're going to fight back and save as many of their people as they can, they need a guy on the inside of the organization to help get intel. It's also rumored that Stephen's dad may not be dead…that he's still out there. With all these amazing powers and concepts, all I can say is; wow. Oh, and Jed? Totally Lucifer from Supernatural. He plays such a good, hot, bad guy! Looks like Jed is onto Stephen and the Tomorrow People's plans. You know what they say? Keep your friends close; your enemies closer... Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Have you ever sat there and thought to yourself, 'self, I really want to watch a show that emotionally stabs my feelings'? Yeah? Okay, good! I'm not alone! This week, wasn't that bad. Not as far as Supernatural can go. It was a pretty tame episode. Sam seems to be doing just fine; much to Dean's delight! They make it back to the bunker in one piece (where Dean told Castiel to meet them in the last episode) and we find out that Kevin is alive and well! He can't aim, at all, and chose a crossbow over a gun, but hey! He's alive! We also learn (along with Sam) that Crowley is alive and no worse for wear. The King of Hell was snuggly in the trunk of the Impala, which we knew from last episode. Crowley, however, isn't in the mood for giving out any names of his 'top side' demons, so the boys leave him locked in an archive room while they investigate a case. And from here, everything goes down hill because it is Supernatural. Sam and Dean discover that Abaddon (a knight of Hell hand picked by Lucifer) is not charred to a crisp, like we thought last season, and wants revenge on the Winchester's. Oh, and she'll take Crowley while she's at it. But, you know, the boys being who they are put a mild stop to that. Okay, they do nothing. Ezekiel does all the work. As Sam's knocked unconscious while fighting demons, the angel takes control (those wings were so cool!) and takes out every demon but Abaddon, since she escapes. Dean still isn't sure about the angels intentions… When they return to the bunker, they find Kevin has taken his frustrations out on Crowley. The kid plans to leave, but Dean gives a heart warming "We're family. We'd die for you kid!" speech that makes everything better. Crowley, being the 'good guy' he is, decides to give a few names of his demons; as payment for the 'fun' Kevin showed him. But wait--where's Castiel!? Is he lost!? With a price on his head, will the wayward angel make it back to the Winchester's in one piece!? I hope so. I'm still recovering from the loss of his trench coat! Which we better get back! How's Cas, Cas without his coat!? Next week's show offers some questions to our answers. Okay, it has Castiel in the show; so surely that can't end badly…right? Written by: ShaeWhat's black and white and red all over? The Interns dressed as Zombies….and I guess just Zombies… This week on Fangasm the Interns were all sad to find out that their comic ideas that were pitched to Stan were all great; but none of them would be produced. That's okay though, because there's a Drink and Draw session at a local pub! Drinking makes everything better. Side note: this is only true sometimes…and probably not that true. Before that! There's E3 to go to! And Molly scored Media passes for her and Kristin! Regina allows them to go, so long as they pass out 200 flyers for ComicKaze Con. The girls agree to do so….then once there, promptly don't hand out the flyers. They try for a few minutes before placing the flyers on a table and walking away. Meanwhile, Mike, Andrew, Sal, Dani, and Paul (who's awesome to tweet with, by the way) head off to help Regina's friends work on a giant tentacle (oooohh myyyy) prop. They all have fun and do such a great job that the prop specialists bring out one of the Jeep's from Jurassic Park for the Intern's to take pictures with. This worked out great considering all 7 were wearing Jurassic Park shirts. Later, Andrew's girlfriend show's up at the house! With cookies! As it turns out, she's not a figment of his imagination, and she does exist and Mike and Sal fawn over her attractiveness. She even share's Andrew's laugh! No, really, the two sound very similar…I think they're officially my favorite TV couple. She even joins them for the Drink and Draw! Which is a bunch of local comic artists (and aspiring artists) getting together at a local pub and draw! This one is apparently Zombie themed! Regina enlists the help of her friend (and former Face/Off contestant) Eric Fox to do their make up. Dani, an licensed makeup artist herself, helps! She also get's a bunch of one-on-one time with Eric, who's very helpful and encouraging. Mike, Andre and Sal, get fully decked out in Zombie make up; prosthetic face pieces included, and they head off to the pub…where theres drinking, drawing, and a ton of flirting. Sal talks to Dani about how he truly feels about her; subsequently changing her mind about the whole 'relationship' thing. While Molly claims Mike never told her he likes her, which he has; to her face; on two separate occasions in the show. The two argue oddly, until Mike suggests Molly let him take her on a date. Then goes and flirts with a girl he met at the pub…and another girl he invited to the pub… And then they all go back to the house. Molly's ignoring Mike. Dani and Sal are adorable. And everybody else is kind of just…not involved with the drama. Doesn't look like Mike's going to get that date with Molly. Dani and Sal on the other hand? Totally might get to have another one! Hopefully we see more of Andrew's girl. Maybe Kristin and Paul will take a swing at romance? The possibilities are endless! Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...A brand new series started Wednesday night, after the premiere of Arrow. The Tomorrow People is a wonderful story about an evolutionary jump in human biology. 'The Tomorrow People' are those with the ability to seemingly teleport short distances. We start with Stephen Jameson, who takes us on a journey through his day. As it turns out, Stephen is believed to be suffering from a severe sleeping disorder that has him sleep walking. We see Stephen wake up in his neighbors bed between said neighbor and neighbors wife. He's on medication; according to his mom, his dad (who abandoned them) suffered from schizophrenia. This theory that Stephen might have it as well, is solidified by a voice he keeps hearing. Cara, however, isn't a voice. She's an actual person with telepathy and the ability to communicate with him. She, along side her boyfriend Luke, are just like Stephen. They're Tomorrow People; and they're trying to get to Stephen before Dr. Jedikiah Price and his organization get ahold of Stephen. Which, of course, happens. Jed decides to inject Stephen with a serum his company has been working on, only to have Luke and Cara show up in an attempt to save Stephen. The teens are backed into a corner, and it looks like Jed just might win. Stephen unlocks some hidden, Tomorrow People, power and stops a bullet midair; seeming to stop time in order for them to escape. Just as we think they're all in the clear, we get a bombshell. Jed is actually Stephen's long lost, runaway, father's brother. Jed offers Stephen to come work for his company, to help 'cure' the Tomorrow People, and Stephen accepts. Interesting concept and show. It offers a lot of promise with a great deal of drama and angst! This really is the year of the superhero themed show! For a first episode, it looks promising! It'll be interesting to see what the season holds. Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...If ever there was a time in your life where you wanted a TV show to reach into your chest, rip your heart out, and stomp on it, it's this one. Over the summer, Mattie (the worlds best roommate and best friend) got me into Supernatural. I didn't think I'd fall so hard for this show, but I did! (It's Misha's fault.) Season 9 kicked off with the instant tug of heartstrings! At first, it looks like things are fine. Sam and Dean are in the Impala driving, as they discuss the falling of the angels. When, boom we find out that Sam's in a coma, he's dying, and this is all in his head. Dean's struggling to keep it together as he watches his brother's health steadily declines. Dean slinks off to the chapel to pray. Turns out, that's not the best idea. Meanwhile, Castiel's grace has been stolen; leaving him completely human and forced to deal with people. Cas doesn't have the best of people skills. He runs' into another angel, Hail, who he offers to help. While Dean is suddenly faced with an angry angel, looking for Castiel having heard his prayer for someone to come save Sam. Before things get too hairy, Ezekiel shows up and saves the day! Rescuing Dean…also, Crowley's in the trunk (that's not where the King of Hell goes!) and offer's to help Sam. Sam, in his head, struggles with whether to fight to live, or to give in and die, a truly moral dilemma. (I wasn't crying, I swear.) Death himself makes an appearance to collect Sam himself. However, Winchester's can't just die, so Dean (who's really Ezekiel) pleads with him; changing Sam's mind. Now, possessed with an angel (unbeknownst to him) Sam wakes in the Impala. Dean says everything's fine and that they're off to fix everything. (with Crowley still in the trunk.) While all that was going on, Castiel crashed a car to get away from Hail, who wanted to merge with his vessel to become a more powerful angel. None of them have any idea that Naomi is dead; and Metatron is still out there (theoretically.) What an emotional roller-coaster! And that was just the first episode of the season! What else is in store for the season? Well, Castiel forwent his trench coat and suit, which is not okay! Dean's lying to Sam. Sam has no clue he's harboring an angel. Annndddd we still don't know where God is. With a heaven full of angels after them, surely there won't be a dull moment this season. Written by: ShaeThis week the Interns got the best gift Regina could give! The gift of presenting an original comic idea, of theirs, to the Generalisimo himself; Stan Lee. Her purpose? To teach the Interns how to talk to a celebrity without geeking out because apparently, celebrities are people too! Except for Misha, he's my spirit animal. This, of course, goes over like she just told a bunch of comic lovers that they get to pitch an idea to Stan Lee--which is filled with much excitement. The reactions range from, "Hey, that's cool." to "OMG I can't believe this!" to "I already have a comic done for this." Which Molly says…and Mike decides that Molly's probably met Jesus. But! Before the pitches are made, the group heads downtown for some group bonding time. Andrew performs a standup comedy routine, which was pretty hilarious. There's a reason he's my second favorite on the show and then there's spray painting, costume gluing and s'mores! Seriously, I was beyond jealous with their s'more eating….It's okay, Dani and Sal went for gelato! That's right, they have their date! It goes pretty well! Sal plans to ask Dani out again and Dani proclaims her attraction to him. Date two next episode? Maybe dinner? Are they still together!? I hope so! Onto the pitches! Which had some pretty great and interesting idea's are thrown around. Super-vilannesses as the main focus of a comic (Molly); a pregnant teenager with superpowers (Mike); body transforming, super strong/fast/cicada powered girl (Dani); a teenager who gets possessed by the powers of a Native American god (Sal); a 'take down the system', time traveling vigilante (Paul); vigilante that can see into the future and jump super high, with the help of an injected chemical (Andrew); a heroine with an unlocked ancient spirit magic who can cast spells (Kristin)! Wow, great imaginations! I wish these were comics that I could read! How did they do? Unfortunately we won't know until next weeks episode. But I think, it's safe to say, everyone had such great charisma and ideas! Who was your favorite superhero from these guys? Which comic would you read? I really liked all of them! Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Agent's Assemble! That's right, everyone, it's that time of the week! Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was awesome (as always) and this week, we got to see Skye take a chance in the field as an operative! What starts with a mysterious force, flinging cars around, turns into a class act kidnapping by the bad guy of the week. When Fitz and Simmons find out that the person in the semi was kidnapped, they get flustered! As it turns out, the man who was kidnapped, was their teacher! Which raises the stakes, just a bit, in their need to get the missing scientist back (queue dramatic music) all while Ward and Skye try to understand one another; Skye declares her hate for training, and Ward expresses his frustration at her lack of dedication. It's okay though, a random billionaire is hosting a unique, and exclusive party, out of country (and S.H.I.E.L.D. reach),where they discover their missing scientist is being held. Skye manages to get an invite and sneaks in. For a bit we're lead to believe she might actually be working against S.H.I.E.L.D., which was hinted at in the last episode. But, she's just good at playing the game of spy. Well, up until it's time to shoot the bad guy. In the meantime, May refuses to be an active field agent, so Coulson joins Ward in the rescue of our scientist and extraction of Skye. Fitz, Simmons and May stand by (as moral and tech support) and of course, there is action. Skye does some awesome moves, fights terribly, but is saved by Ward. Coulson discovers that the scientist his tech-team admires so much, was indeed, the master mind behind the whole thing. Coulson takes him out (literally kicks him into an unstable substance in the middle of a gravity changing machine) and thing's get better! The end, everyone's happy….right? Wrong! May decides she's done sitting on the side lines, Skye declares her dedication to the cause, and Ward bonds with her over childhood sadness. I mean seriously, superheros/spys and their wayward childhoods. What about Coulson? Well, he's struggling with loading a gun within a reasonable (spy appropriate) time. Could this be a hint as to what's going on? Yes, I do believe it is. While we didn't get one last week (Samuel L. Jackson's cameo, totally makes up for that.) we did get one this week. Coulson's having memory problems, not just the mental kind, but muscle memory! Something as simple as loading his weapon shouldn't be giving him such problems. What's going on? Is Coulson a clone? Was he experimented on? Why do I get a bad feeling whenever someone mentions Tahiti, or talks about Coulson's abilities, knack for putting himself in harms way, or that he died? Did he actually die? And who was the Agent that trained Ward? And May!? So many questions…thankfully, there's another episode next week... |
