Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. brought their awesome game again this week! It's not hard to see why ABC picked them up for a full first season! That's right! A full first season you guys! With the team bonding and getting closer to one another it seems as if nothing could possible tear them apart, right? Wrong! Just when we think things are all fine, warm, and cozy, BAM! The very fabric of the team that Coulson has worked so hard to build, is being torn at! That's okay, though, Agent Phil Coulson always works things out in the end. Hey, at least this show only tugs at your feels a little. When a man under S.H.I.E.L.D. supervision goes missing, Coulson's team is called in to help investigate. Before they even land in Hong Kong, it's discovered that Rising Tide (the organization that Skye worked for before joining the team) was behind the information leak that lead to the 'kidnapping' of their target. Skye tracks down the hacker responsible, but warns him before Agent Ward can take the guy down. Of course, Skye meets the other hacker in his own apartment. We find out that they're more than just hacker buddies…but well, together… May follows them, finds out that Skye tipped off the suspect, and that she's also keeping secrets from the team (about time). There's yelling…Coulson is really good at being angry. And of course, plot twists. Scorch, as he's now called, is a pyro-kinetic with something very special. His blood platelets protect his skin from burning when he magically conjures fire out of thin air. The Girl in the Flower Dress finds him, inspires him; takes him back to a lab and studies him. Then removes said platelets from his blood. We find out that she's working with the same organization from the first episode. Scorpion is back! And she's got an ally in prison that is more than just an asset. Unfortunately you can't save them all, and Scorch doesn't survive the ending of the episode. Skye's now ex-boyfriend (they broke up somewhere in the middle of the episode…they'd both changed. You know, he took money to sell information and she's now working for 'the man') is let go; with a special bracelet around his wrist designed by S.H.I.E.L.D. to disable him from being around electronics for a while. EMP maybe? Meanwhile, Skye's job security is on the line. Coulson pulls her into his office, yells, and finally, finally, we learn what's been really going on. Turns out Skye's been searching for her parents. Her search lead her to a classified, blacked out, S.H.I.E.L.D. document. Which brought her to the organization. Coulson warns her that she may not want to know what really happened to them. Then shortly after offers his help. She too gets a bracelet; until she can be trusted. Were Skye's parents S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives? Or were they taken out by the organization? Will Ward ever forgive her? Are Fitz and Simmons together? And, seriously, what happened to Phil!? Tahiti my butt! Next week offer's more promising answers…or maybe just more questions! Will we get any more surprise guest stars? I'd personally love to see Black Widow and Hawkeye make an appearance!
