Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...This weeks Tomorrow People has my three favorite things! Murder, deception, and manipulation. What could make this show even better? Robbie Amell with his shirt off. Oh wait...guess it had my four favorite things? We start off with a flashback; Cara in high school at some dance. Turns our she's deaf and human! Some guy asks her to go some place more quiet. Then decides he wants more than Cara is willing to offer. She gets away and runs but he follows and tackles her. In an explosion of emotion, Cara's powers manifest themselves and she sends the boy flying off and away from her. Suddenly she's able to hear; which would be cool and overwhelming at the same time. As it turns out; Cara threw the boy so hard he hit his head and died. She's arrested for his murder (in the real world it would be self defense) and is taken to a cell. Back in the real world, present day Cara is having a bad day and trouble with her powers. Stephen isn't fairing so well with his either. At a party with his friend (who I'm not fond of so her name's not important), his mind reading powers are going a bit haywire. He over hears the thoughts of a girl, Emily, and doesn't know how to help the suicidal teen. Stephen's dilemma over the morality of what to do gets pushed to the side when John needs him to sneak into Ultra's security level and place a USB drive into their mainframe. Nothing ever goes according to plan; Jed catches him shortly after the act is done and Stephen is forced to talk to his uncle, who has the moral compass of a wasp and also tells Stephen to just let Emily off herself. He then has the floor searched; finds the drive in his computer and sets a trap. Cara is then captured and Stephen has no choice but to offer his uncle help in an attempt to save her. If Stephen doesn't "cure" her with an injection, then Jed will kill her. Stephen offers to "cure" her himself, while Jed watches. In the midst of Cara's fighting, Stephen once again stops time, injects her with saline solution instead. In turn, Cara offers to help save Emily and talks the girl out of killing herself. She then shares her past memory of the night her father kicked her out with Stephen. After School Special Moment #53 follows where Stephen tells her that her past shouldn't define her and that they can help humans and this all coexist peacefully. The end, right? Nope! Just before Stephen left, his friend showed up to check on Emily and sees him vanish. She them confronts him over the whole thing; threatening to find the truth herself if he won't tell her. Next week looks promising with Stephen's mom making another appearance! She has Jed over and asks if Stephen is working for Ultra. What exactly does mom know about her husbands brother? I have a feeling she knows more than she's letting on. Only time will tell!
