Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Holy monkeys! Okay, so last week we were left with a bit of a cliff hanger. Ultra had captured John and it didn't look good. This week, well, I was right…it wasn't good! Not for poor John anyway. We start out with the 'Founder' ("head of Ultra" I guess? He's creepy) torturing John for information. John, however, was trained by Jed himself, so he's not about to crack and tell the Founder where the Tomorrow People are hiding. This is when the Founder decides to tell Stephen the truth about his dad. John killed him. Stephen's so shocked he leaves to clear his head. In the meantime, Cara is 27 kinds of livid over Jed taking John. So, what's an angry girl to do? Why, kidnap Jed's girlfriend Morgan…With Russell's help, of course. Once Morgan's secure, Cara pops in to give Jed an ultimatum. Hand John over, or he'll never see Morgan again. But, Jed can't free John, there's no way of getting him out with the Founder there. So, this is where things get clever. (Remember, Jed's actor was Lucifer on Supernatural…so never doubt his clever little mind.) Jed figures out how Cara still has her powers. He knows Stephen stopped time, switched the cure for saline, and freed her. Jed confronts Stephen and then tells him that he understands. Sometimes, love over comes all things. The plan to save John turns out to be brilliant. Jed slips him a key to the cuffs. John gets free and takes Stephen hostage, shoots his way out of Ultra, and back to the Tomorrow People, and Cara. Cara keeps her end of the bargain and brings Jed Morgan…only Jed demands they keep Morgan with them. The Founder's pissed that John got away and Jed doesn't want him finding out about Morgan, because believe it or not, he truly loves her. (Is there a good side to Jed?) Which doesn't help, because the Founder does find out about Morgan (well, Jed told him about her anyway.) So, in order to make sure she truly is safe, he fakes her death. For a minute, it doesn't look fake. Like, he literally puts a pillow over her head while she's sleeping and shoots it. There's even blood! But, low and behold, she is alive and safe with John and Cara. Shortly after that, though, John reveals that he did kill Stephen's dad. Cara's furious with this lie (because it's not an episode if she's not mad at John for something! Just look at his abs girl, you'll forget all about any anger!) that John's been telling. Saying that Stephen's dad is still alive and out there…But he's not. Or is he? This leads Stephen down a path to find his father. One that invokes one theory! It's impossible to stop time while teleporting…but it's possible to stop time at the time of death. Stephen persuades John to medically kill him in order to find and see his dad again. John, feeling guilty…does it. Cara, not okay with this plan, brings Stephen back as quickly as she can. Stephen wakes with the words "I saw him" and "We have to find his body". (Which is different from the 'hey, I need help burying a body' texts I send Mattie!) Stephen's dad is alive! We have confirmation! And, The Tomorrow People has a full first season, so when we return in January, there will be more awesome goodness! I'm so excited to find out what happens! Seriously! Does Stephen's dad come back? What does the Founder want with Stephen!? Does Cara choose John over Stephen? Or does she give in and choose Stephen? What about Astrid!? She's still got feelings for Stephen! Maybe she ends up with Russell?! So many possibilities and we have to wait an entire month to find out what happens next! At least John is alive, and safe, for now!

Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Stupid finals kept me from watching this until now, but, finals are over! This was the first show I got caught up on. We start with Captain Maldonado on the witness stand at a trial giving testimony against a man named Ethan Avery. The man supposedly murdered a doctor. However, at the trial, one of the eye witnesses is murdered before she can give her condemning testimony. The second witness gets away and ends up in custody. Enter Kennex and Dorian to protect her. Only, Maya just happens to be a psychic. Or a medium. Or a psychic medium! Kennex, of course, scoffs at this. But Dorian believes her. Because in 2048, you can get a magical surgery that makes you a psychic medium! Seems legit…. Anyway, the whole thing is kind of a wild goose chase for some time. There's an attempted murder on Maya by four men in hoods with armor piercing bullets. Maya gets hit with one and ends up in the hospital. Kennex, on the other hand, manages to take down one of the gunmen. Who is it? Well, as it turns out, it's Ethan Avery, only he looks about 10 years younger. What!? How is that even possible? Does that even make sense? No? Yes? I think the laws of time just cracked in half. (Save us Doctor!) Okay, the laws of time are safe. Avery was one of the four guys that tried to kill Maya….he was also the other three guys. As well as himself…in prison. How is this not breaking some laws of time or something? Because it's not that kind of wibbly wobbly show? (How cool would that be though!?) See, the doctor he killed that got him locked in prison in the first place, just so happened to have been working with Avery. The doctor managed to figure out human cloning, before it was made illegal, and Avery was his subject/financial backing. So he created four clones. All of which end up dead by the end of the show. Which is pretty good considering they did kidnap the hot detective girl Kennex has been crushing on since day one. And! The best news!? We get another episode next week! How awesome is that!? Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Man, this show really knows how to tug at my feels. I'm honestly…not sure how I feel about what just happened with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s midseason finale. I think I feel betrayed...that's a good word for it. Also, scared. From the very beginning things seem like they're going to be normal. Well, kind of. Raina, (the girl in the flower dress) stages a prison breakout for an ex-military guy. The one she visited a few episodes back. With his help, she's looking for a way to start phase 3 of their project. As it seems, Centipede has been busy with their soldiers. They've implemented some changes. Their soldiers are stronger, they don't combust, and they now have multiple centipede things on their bodies. The downside, though, is that they keep burning through the serum and their bodes aren't able to maintain the added abilities of strength. They also keep moving bases because Agent Coulson and his Team keep burning down their facilities. This makes it harder for Centipede to maintain their soldiers. Back on the Bus (giant airplane of doom that I totally want to own) Skye is trying to narrow down who her mother may have been. Agent May informs her (none too gently) that they're on a mission and she needs to focus on what's important. May also tells her that Coulson knows the truth of her mother, but won't tell her. While we still don't know who Skye's mom is, we do know she's dead. Later May and Ward have some awkwardly awesome sexual tension, that they're both trying to ignore. Fitz and Simmons still haven't made out. And Mike (from the very first episode, the first Centipede patient they helped not explode) has made a returns! He's here to help S.H.I.E.L.D. with the next Centipede base. He also reveals that the girl in the flower dress was the one to recruit him for the project. Normal stuff, right? Annnnnddddd right about now things go wrong, right? Yep. Of course they do. How? Well, as it turns out, Raina just happens to drop in and pay Mike's son, Ace, a little visit. So nice of her right? She demands Mike exchange himself for the kid. Mike asks Coulson to go with him for the exchange. And in a twist of pure, utter, betrayal, it turns out Mike brought Coulson because Raina wants Coulson, not Mike….and he knew all along. Mike gets his kid, and Centipede takes Coulson. Not before drugging him, shooting Ward, and blowing up a semi. We're left with a cliff hanger of doom. Raina wants to know about the day after Coulson died. But the problem is Coulson doesn't even know about it. Centipede seems to not be playing around; they'll get whatever they want out of Coulson. Or whatever they can. He is a highly trained, Level 7, S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent after all. With powerful friends. I mean, if I were the bad guys, I would not take Director Fury's right hand man. Not to mention Coulson's friends with Black Widow and Hawkeye. Oh, and Maria Hill….And the rest of the Avengers. Also am I the only one here who's dying to know Tony Stark's reaction to finding out Coulson's alive!? Thankfully, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been picked up for a full first season. So far, the later half of this season looks promising. We finally get to find out what happened to Coulson. Which may lead to us finding out about Skye's parents. And maybe have Ward and May admit they like each other as more than co-workers…which would be nice if Fitz and Simmons could do the same. All in all, this was a good way to put the series on break. I'm still angry and dealing with Mike's betrayal is a hard pill to swallow. Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...There are good ideas and then there are bad ideas. And sometimes, there are really bad ideas. This episode of Tomorrow People was totally filled with bad ideas. First, we start with Uncle Jed, kicking back, hanging with Morgan, having a good time…then Morgan leaves, and Jed's filled with a fitful sleep plagued with memories and guilt. He's not dealing well with how things happened with John because he saw the kid as his own, in a way. Well, Cara and Russell get it in their heads that it might just be a good idea to dream rape his mind and find out all they can about Ultra and Stephen's long lost, probably dead, dad. Only, it goes wrong. Cara gets away unseen, but Russell isn't so lucky, and after a skirmish and Tomorrow People inhibiting tech, Russell is able to teleport out of there, only Jed hitches a ride. That's right, Jed is inadvertently kidnapped. Which has Ultra calling in the big, bad, head of the company. One of the two surviving cofounders of the company. Yes, the same who got intimate with Stephen's brain a few episodes back. Here we learn that some psychics have a Matrix like plug hooded up to the top of their spine and can plug right into a computer to do a psychic search for pretty much anyone on the planet. We also learn that Stephen's dad, Jed, and this guy are the founders of Ultra…Ultra wasn't originally this bad place that killed the Tomorrow People. It was designed to help them and eventually make their presence known to the rest of the world. What went wrong? Jed's just a tad jealous that he doesn't have these powers. Somewhere along the way, things got twisted….and Stephen's dad? Well, he didn't like that…so Jed sent John to kill him…and John did…and then John ran from Ultra and swore to help his kind. Which he did. But now everything is in jeopardy because Jed's tied up in their home base. While Stephen is off staling Ultra on a wild goose chase, one that leads him to find Morgan and find out that she's one of them…and that she's in love with Jed, Cara decides to get in Jed's head again; without revealing that she still has her powers. Things, of course, go from bad to worse, and Jed gets a hold of Russell and is close to killing him. Cara makes the choice to teleport and save Russell. She tells Jed that they have a cure for his little drug. He doesn't believe her. With that all out in the open, John's left with a tough choice. He takes Jed and intends to kill him. In the last second though, he doesn't and inadvertently, he gets captured…and that's what we're left with…. On a brighter note, Stephen's dad might not be dead. He might just be trapped between being alive and being dead. John, on the other hand, totally S.O.L. unless Stephen can find a way to get him out of Ultra. It's not looking good, but the mid season finale airs on December 11th, so hopefully, this will be a GOOD episode! I'm already scared! I hope John will be okay. Written by ShaeThis week, Kennex and Dorian tackle a drug ring! Why? Because a cop friend of Kennex was killed….sad day =/. Of course, many in the precinct thought the guy was a dirty cop, so when he turned up dead with a trunk full of drugs, they weren't surprised. Kennex on the other hand didn't buy that story. Having known the dead cop for quite some time, he swore the guy wasn't bad. So they start an investigation that leads them on a journey toward finding out this big bad drug guy that everyone's talking about. Unfortunately, they need to find a a way to meet this super secretive drug dealer. They need to set up a meeting with the guy, but the only way he'll see anyone is if they can cook up the drug in question. Enter, Rudy. Now, I don't know about you guys but I am a huge Rudy fan. I've liked him since episode one, but this episode? Awesome. Rudy steps up and holds nothing back when he decides to take the undercover position. Normally, he's down in the basement working on Synthetics. This time, he takes charge. With just a few kinks, Rudy does end up reproducing the drug. He get's a meeting with the drug dealer's goons; one of their robots confirms that his drug sample is 95% pure. Then he's taken/kidnapped right under Kennex and Dorian's watch. The guy posing as the drug leader takes him to a lab. Of course, they quickly discover that Rudy is not who he claims to be and soon, there's gun fire. Rudy's on his own for a bit and has to out run/outsmart these guys. He gets shot in the arm, but Dorian and Kennex eventually find him (after beating up the bad guys). In the end, the major drug dealer guy, was really the captain of the cop who died. He was dealing on the side and rolling in cash. Kennex takes him down, and then he, Dorian, and Rudy all go for drinks. Though, Kennex isn't thrilled that Rudy's being brought along. That's okay, Rudy earned his beer! I have to say, this show is blowing me away with how utterly awesome it is. It's got a bit of everything. Cop/detective drama meets futuristic sci-fi world? I mean, how awesome is that? Still, I am wary. Years of sci-fi movies have taught me not to trust robots. |
