Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...A brand new series started Wednesday night, after the premiere of Arrow. The Tomorrow People is a wonderful story about an evolutionary jump in human biology. 'The Tomorrow People' are those with the ability to seemingly teleport short distances. We start with Stephen Jameson, who takes us on a journey through his day. As it turns out, Stephen is believed to be suffering from a severe sleeping disorder that has him sleep walking. We see Stephen wake up in his neighbors bed between said neighbor and neighbors wife. He's on medication; according to his mom, his dad (who abandoned them) suffered from schizophrenia. This theory that Stephen might have it as well, is solidified by a voice he keeps hearing. Cara, however, isn't a voice. She's an actual person with telepathy and the ability to communicate with him. She, along side her boyfriend Luke, are just like Stephen. They're Tomorrow People; and they're trying to get to Stephen before Dr. Jedikiah Price and his organization get ahold of Stephen. Which, of course, happens. Jed decides to inject Stephen with a serum his company has been working on, only to have Luke and Cara show up in an attempt to save Stephen. The teens are backed into a corner, and it looks like Jed just might win. Stephen unlocks some hidden, Tomorrow People, power and stops a bullet midair; seeming to stop time in order for them to escape. Just as we think they're all in the clear, we get a bombshell. Jed is actually Stephen's long lost, runaway, father's brother. Jed offers Stephen to come work for his company, to help 'cure' the Tomorrow People, and Stephen accepts. Interesting concept and show. It offers a lot of promise with a great deal of drama and angst! This really is the year of the superhero themed show! For a first episode, it looks promising! It'll be interesting to see what the season holds.
