Written by Scott EdwardsSo many people are complacent when it comes to doing their job. Doing just enough to get by may work for some people, but there are others that are quite the opposite. They want to do more, to be better than everyone else, and their drive never subsides, especially when they have proven themselves to be the best. It is a great trait to have, especially for today’s workforce since there is no telling when someone will be coming to take your job. Just be the best at what you do and all of your worries will go away, as you become, as they say, indispensable. The Great Zambini is trying to take his act to the next level and with his assistant's help, it will happen sooner than later. But no matter how hard Connie concentrates, Zambini is not able to get a read on what she is really thinking. Seeing that he is getting frustrated with her, Connie tries to leave, but Zambini is able to get inside of her head and convince her to stay and give him his favorite dessert before bed. Knowing that she has no choice, Connie plays along with her mind reader's show since she has nowhere else to go, but little does she know that there might be real love on the horizon for her. After their show, Connie stops and talks to the other performers of the carnival, but Zambini wants nothing to do with the rag tag crew. Commanding Connie to head back to the trailer, the fire-eater Johnny is worried about her wellbeing. While Zambini is asleep, Connie sneaks out and talks to Johnny about his future and he cannot see it without her. Offering to take her away from the carnival, Connie knows that Zambini will find her wherever she goes. Staying in the moment, Johnny and Connie start to get hot and heavy and a cry from her mind raises Zambini from his slumber. Being lied to about what she had been doing, Zambini hands his assistant another beating for the night. As Connie is ashamed of herself for allowing Zambini to control her, she takes up Johnny on his offer to leave for good. Connie is not able to keep her intentions a secret as Zambini knows he can read her mind now. Stopping Johnny after his talk with the man-eating-gorilla, Zambini has a surprise for the fire eater. Dousing him in gasoline and burning his cheating body, Zambini makes sure that Connie knows that there is nobody in the world that can take her away from him. But Connie is strong and able to leave Zambini once and for all, but after a bender, Zambini commands her back to the trailer, only to find that he has been able to read the thoughts of someone else. Just a little love triangle story with a fourth member that you would not expect to be a part of it. Even though she is on a one way street to nowhere, Connie always has a bright outlook on life and it shows around the carnival. Johnny is able to catch the woman’s eye, but it is not his looks, it is his feelings for her. While Zambini is stuck in his own little world, trying to eat and feed his mind at the same time. Featuring Ernie Hudson as Zambini, Joan Chen as Connie, John Laughlin as Johnny and a special appearance of Phil Fondacaro as Emmet. Torment and hatred come to life in this episode, along with a couple seconds of complete crazy, and the cast does a fantastic job on the small screen. Until next time kiddies, Stay Scared.
