Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Guys, as this season draws closer to an end, I have to admit, I’m scared. I feel like we’re going to lose one of the Winchesters…granted, they’ll be back, because they can’t stay dead for long. But Last season we ended with Dean dying, so I feel this season it might be Sammy’s turn. Which is something I am not okay with. Thankfully, we know we’re getting a season 11, and that makes things slightly easier…but also harder… Last week we had a series of deaths that caught the Winchester's eye. It seemed that Catholics were just turning up dead. Well, not just dead, they all killed themselves. Or, well, in the case of one wife, violently murdering her husband. So, what’s going on? There has to be something driving these people into gutting themselves. Right? Dean is fully onboard with it being a ghost, and Sam is willing to bet it’s a curse, or something….One of the nuns tries to help, or does she? She doesn’t seem to buy into the idea of ghosts. On the other hand, she is too busy learning about her new friends past. The young nun tells the tale of how she was once in love with a painter. So in love, she was devastated when he refuted her confession. The pain of unrequited love was so evident, her father had her taken away to the convent. A sad story, but that’s not helping explain the murders. Finally, Dean goes and confesses to the priest. At first, it’s a hilarious ploy that soon turns serious. Dean doesn’t want to die, and who can blame him. After seeing what the Mark did to Cain himself, it’s a wonder Dean is holding up as well as he is. Sam is fully convinced they can find a cure for it, but Dean’s bleak outlook isn’t lifting. The Priest is the next victim and Dean finds the gruesome scene before the nun admits that there is a ghost in their midst. She’d been so excited to have a friend, that she ignored the fact that the murders started once the ghost arrived and several artifacts from Italy were given to the church. Dean sends Sam to burn the ghost's journal, but the younger Winchester hesitates and reads it instead. It’s there he finds out that it’s not the Journal tethering her, but the painting. The girl had escaped the convent and murdered the artist. But, before this had all taken place, she’d cut the tip of her finger off. Told her artist to grind the bone and flesh into the paint. Gross, right? Thankfully, Sam’s not good at always listening to Dean, because Dean ends up getting attacked by the possessed nun. Sam finds the paining, and for good measure, burns it along with the girls other items. The ghost is finally laid to rest, and the nun and Dean are spared….Hopefully tonight, we can get a bit more hope for Dean’s situation, and maybe a bit closer to a cure!
