Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Before we get to the showdown this season has been leading up to, let's relive the pain of last week! Just kidding, the pain was minor. For us, at least. Not so much the teenagers involved. A throwback to the earlier seasons, the Winchesters are off to investigate a mysterious murder. A university has seen some sad times, as one of its most popular coeds dies in a horrific car crash. The truck the drunk kid was driving decides to take on a life of its own. It tells the girl in the truck to get out and once she does it drives off a half built bridge. What could want the guy dead? More like who. A little digging reveals that the truck in question belonged to the kids older brother who died overseas. Assuming it's the dead brother possessing the car, Sam and Dean salt and burn the vehicle. Of course, this brings Sam to an interesting question of whether Dean would possess baby and kill him. We'll never know, because let's face it, these two don't stay dead long enough for that to even be questioned. However, while still at the college a girl's computer comes to life. The numbers 810 seem to have some startling significance to her. She unplugs the thing, closes it and shuts it off. Before she can leave the room, however, the computer's charging cord comes to life and strangles her. A horrid way to die, and eerie since we share the same charging cable... With little leads to go on, the boys have no time at all before another victim is claimed. This time, the guys speaker system blares so loud it boils his brains. Whatever is killing these kids is picking up in frequency. With a slim lead, Sam checks out an address that matches 810. The wife says her husband had died at the corner of their street a few months ago. He had been a professor at the college. Convinced he's the ghost, Sam and Dean are still at a loss as to how he's traveling around and killing these kids. Sam stays at the house while Dean finds a girl that tells him what really happened. She and the three victims had been in a car on the way back from whatever. Distracted by their phones. The kid driver swerved into the oncoming lane and the teacher swerved to miss them. He crashed into a pole and was okay, until a wifi line fell on the car and electrocuted him, bursting the car into flames. The kids sped off in a panic. Our last living girl says she tried calling 911 and wanted to get the guy help, but she was bullied into keeping quiet. With that bit of info, they know how the ghost is traveling, and who's next, but not really how to stop it. It's Sam who gets the wife to talk to the ghost. Thanks to technology, the two are able to FaceTime, and our vengeful spirit finally leaves. The girl and the wife meet later to find their own peace, and Dean decides to make some for himself. It seems this episode was all about healing. Except for tonight. Which is all about Cain....yay?
