Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...With each passing episode, the end draws near, and I'm really not ready for it. But still, we must carry on and last week we got to see a different dynamic amongst our Team Free Will. Claire is back, and she's been hunting down information about her lost mother. Seems she has a few choice words for the woman that abandoned her after Castiel took Jimmy away from them. Which, what's with that by the way? Claire has been following leads that eventually send her into a dive bar in the middle of nowhere, searching for what might be the last man who saw her mother. He, however, isn't willing to give her any information on her mother's whereabouts. Instead, he gives away he knows what her last name is, and when Claire confronts him, he knocks her down and she passes out. A call from the hospital sends our boys running. She is family, after all, in a weird way, and Cas feels very responsible for her. She's less than pleased to see them, but that doesn't stop them from helping. Dean and Castiel head off back to the bar to find the guy that Claire talked to, turns out Claire escaped from the hospital, and Sam goes to her motel room to await for her arrival. It's not long before she and Sam aren't hating one another. He even teaches her how to hack into her mother"s credit card records. By then, Dean and Cas arrive with some information on the man who took Claire's mother. Granted he may have beaten it out of the guy, but he wasn't going to talk otherwise. Cas isn't willing to take any chances given the mark on Dean's arm. He orders Dean and Claire to stay behind while he and Sam investigate a farm were it looks like Claire's mom is being kept. Dean is less than thrilled, so he and Claire head off to play some mini golf. Earlier in the episode, the guy who got Claire into the hospital, may have been stabbed violently and died. The wound looked like an angel blade, but nobody could figure out what it really was, since there was a nasty red mark around the wound that isn't consistent with an angel blade. While playing mini golf, Claire helps Dean explain the red mark. This discovery leads them to doing some research. Turns out, Angels can have things like, swords that have hilts, not just blades. The type of angel? They're called Grigori, and were the first Angels to be on earth. Some lore says they're watcher Angels. Other lore says they feed off humans. This Grigori isn't nice...at all. And he's now in a farm house with Sam and Castiel. Cas finds Claire's mother; who was having her soul fed on by the Grigori for two years. Sam runs into our Grigori, but narrowly escapes. Thankfully, he lives...because Moose is awesome. Claire and Dean make it to house just in time to fight he Grigori. Claire gets a tearful reunion with her mother, and then gets her ripped out of her life as she's stabbed by the rogue angel. It's Claire who saves Cas from the Grigori, the two have finally made peace with one another. In the end, Claire keeps the Grigori's sword, and she is off to live with Jody. With Claire taken care of, her and everyone on good terms, and Cas willing to stay in her life, they all have one less thing to worry about...how to find a way to remove the mark.
