Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Let us take a moment and revel in how utterly amazing teen Dean is. While I'm never a fan of "de-aged" storylines, Supernatural did it in a way that didn't completely make me regret the fandom. Who am I kidding? I loved every ounce of this episode. Seeing Dean turned back into a prepubescent little scamp was priceless. With no leads as to how to remove the mark of Cain, the boys throw themselves into doing what they do best; not talking about their problems or feelings. Hitting the road on a hunt sounds fun. Mysteriously, people are vanishing in a small town. It's been written off as people running off from their problems, but one eye witness says differently. People are vanishing in bright beams of light. Neither Winchester has an explanation, but the witness believes it to be aliens. Which, in fairness, I would assume aliens too. After all, we have dealt with every other being on this show. It's the smell of flowers after the bright light that leads our boys on a Witch hunt. The hunt is never easy and soon they're stuck in some dead ends. Dean makes a new hot friend however, and together the two of them plow through a lot of drinks. Tina decides to take her leave and is followed by a hulking brute. Dean doesn't like the look of that and he follows too. After a bright light, and a scream from Tina, Dean charges in. Only to be attacked himself. When Dean wakes, he's no longer plagued by the Mark of Cain, instead, he's barely old enough to shave. In a younger body, Dean also finds himself locked away in a room. As is Tina. The missing guy that brought the Winchesters there is also a teenager. He's soon dragged off and this prompts Dean's mad dash for escape. Before he can fully get Tina out, the brute of a man comes for Dean. Tina offers herself as a discretion, giving Squirrel just enough time to escape. Once reunited with Sam, the two form a plan to get Tina free, if she's still alive. And hopefully find a way to reverse the spell. But Dean isn't so sure he wants it reversed given he's finally free from the Mark. It's all hell when the Winchesters storm the 'castle'. The brute turns out to be Hansel, from the famous story. He claims to be working for the witch against his will. It's not long before we figure out how much of a lie that is. He's also a lot stronger than they can handle. The witch tosses Sam around like a rag doll and Hansel takes care of Dean. With their backs to the wall, Dean has no choice but to grab the hex bag Hansel used to turn him young and reverse the spell. Now back in his old body, Dean shoves the Hex bag into the witches mouth and shoves her in the oven she had planned to cook Tina in. And Hansel kinda died in Dean rage too. I guess you shouldn't ever get between Dean and his job to protect Sam. This leaves Tina without a way to return to her rightful age...which is oddly okay for the girl. She decides a fresh start is needed. Maybe our boys could learn something from that...
