Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...He's just a boy, she's just a girl, and before I sing/write anymore lyrics to the song you all secretly started thinking about let's carry on. Two song references and I'm only on paragraph one....lets just shake that off. All right, enough of this Shae-nanagans. Guys, I have a confession. I actually didn't see the promo for this week's episode at all. Yesterday was a complete surprise for me. I will say, I seriously am in love with this show. Like, this fandom was probably the worst thing I ever could have gotten into. My feels, hurt. While this episode wasn't as heavy as most, it did drop a few hammers on our sensitive feelings. People have been vanishing from this little town; bursts of light appear and the person is gone. The only thing left behind are their clothes. Dean has literally spent a week in the Bunker, researching how to remove the Mark. And by researching, I mean re reading the books of lore they already have. When the case comes in, Sam nearly has to beg Dean to take it with him. When they do arrive their only witness says that they smelled flowers after seeing the bright light. Aliens are a good option, they're just never the answer. And the smell of flowers means that it's not demon related. With little to go on the two spilt up. Sam visits the house of our latest disappeared guy, and Dean chats up the Bartender of the place our vic was last seen. Striking out on the info has Dean frustrated. He ends up making friends with a local, Tina, and she's got a lot of baggage and a bit of info. She leaves and is followed by a big burley guy. Dean follows and hears her scream before he's attacked too. Bright light of doom fades and Dean awakens in a cell. Something isn't right though. Tina seems alright, minus the fact that she's barely even a teenager now. Also with her in her own cell happens to be our missing vic, JP. He's soon taken away by the burley guy that attacked Dean and Tina...when Dean discovers his own de-aged body, he's a little weirded out, but he's a Winchester. These things happen. Clever as he is, Dean escapes with the promise of coming back. Sam's reaction to a very young Dean is comical. I literally paused and giggled for a solid five minutes at the utter disbelief Moose had. Dean is still in charge and within minutes of his return, they're off on the road again. Though, on the way Dean isn't sure he wants to reverse this spell. He doesn't have the Mark of Cain in this younger body, and it's nice to be free from that feeling. Sam isn't sure how to take this news. Puberty ridden Dean is a big adjustment for the normally younger Sam...but he can't blame Dean for wanting to be free from the mark. Breaking back into the cell, which is apparently in the basement of some house, isn't hard to do. Dean slips right back in through the window he crawled out of while Sam finds another way in. Tina is already gone....Dean investigates her cell and is shortly attacked by our burley foe, Sam to the rescue! The man claims to be Hansel and says he's forced to work for the witch. Confronting said witch proves the complete opposite. Hansel is a dirty liar. Tina is alive, however, she's just tied to a chair, forced to watch the ensuing fight. Said witch is turning adults into children and eating them because nobody misses adults like they do children. Plus, really, she's got a point with the specific people she's been turning young and eating. She's here on business, searching for Rowena, upon request of the Grand Coven. Any more information is lost as Sam tries to over take Hansel. The hex bag around the brutes neck is cut free, and it holds the ability to reverse the spell. Sam and Dean are both easy over powered. The witch decides Sam will be turned young too. And he's next on the menu. Never doubt the power of love Dean has for his little brother. Like the hero he is. Dean touches the hex bag and is back to himself in no time. He kills Hansel before shoving the hex bag into the witches mouth and throwing her into the oven she was hoping to roast Sam (earlier Tina) in. Needless to say, she doesn't survive. But, the hex bag is destroyed and with it Tina's ability to return to her age. The young girl doesn't mind, though. Happy to have a fresh start, she goes off to start her life over again. Happy ending for all? Mostly; Dean still has the Mark of Cain upon his arm and they're no where near finding a solution. They do have Charlie out there, on their side, and Dean did save Sammy and Tina, so it wasn't a terrible day....this time.
