Written by John Edward Betancourt It is definitely safe to say, that December is something of a wintery wasteland for horror features and we all know why. For ‘tis the season, the one with elves and presents and Egg Nog and Santa himself, so the world more or less does its best to forget about horror to think about the fluffy stuff that we do indeed enjoy. But deep down, while we’re looking at blinking lights and hearing carolers sing… our minds are on zombies and crazed holiday creatures because horror is where we thrive and slowly but surely, it’s power and popularity are sneaking into the holiday season. Since we are seeing more holiday horror themed movies arriving at the multiplex and of course we are watching more of them at home… courtesy of Shudder. For the good folks that work there deck the halls with gore aplenty, courtesy of a month of full of gooey and terrifying and downright ghoulish gifts. The kind that tasks us to turn the light on come Christmas Eve in the hopes it might scare away Krampus or one evil Santa and boy, have they prepared some fine presents for us to unwrap this season. Since the network has released its December 2022 programming lineup and here are all the wonderful treats that you can enjoy in a few days, when the official start of the Horror-days season gets underway.
