Peacock Releases Official Trailer for ‘Hysteria!’

It is definitely safe to say, that throwbacks and homages to the 1980s and 1980s horror are all the rage right now and rightfully so. Because the 80s were rad, and they had an incredible look and incredible feel that so many are working to bring back to life, and 80s horror… well it was simply amazing. For it paved the way for modern horror and gave life to incredible icons that we still love and adore some 40-plus years after the 80s came to their close. If anything, the majesty and wonder of the era and of those classic horror films is top of mind today, because an utterly incredible story in that style is coming to Peacock and USA Network and SYFY, soon.

For Hysteria!, a series set in 1989, that revolves around the “Satanic Panic” of the era descending upon a small town will debut on the network on October 18 and well, it really is going to be quite the series. For it not only features wondrous throwbacks to the era, but it also features horror legend Bruce Campbell in a role and superstars Anna Camp and Julie Bowen as well. Plus, it does indeed tell a stunning horror tale that replicates the feel of 80s horror but adds the depth of modern horror and well… for proof… look no further than what Peacock sent our way. PREMIERE DATE 
All episodes of HYSTERIA! will premiere on Peacock on Friday, October 18, 2024. USA Network and SYFY will simulcast the first episode on Oct. 18 with USA Network airing episodes each Friday.
 
ABOUT HYSTERIA!
When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.
