Written by Scott EdwardsThere is something to knowing what frightens you the most, so that you can try to battle it. While it can take years to find a way to not be afraid any longer, some people never try, and it can hurt them in the long run. When you have a fear that you are not willing to face, you might find yourself in a situation that will leave you paralyzed. It is all right to be afraid of things, no matter how big or small, but it is how you are willing to react when you come face to face with it that determines if you will be able to survive. Talking with her son who was taken away by the Creeper twenty-three years ago, Gaylen finds out that the creature is once again on the loose. Begging his mother to leave with her granddaughter Addison, Kenny has words of wisdom from beyond the grave. With something hidden on the hill behind the barn, the Creeper will come to retrieve it before his time is up and will kill anyone that gets in his way. Wanting to know what Kenny buried in the back, Gaylen sends her granddaughter on some errands while she gets ready to uncover something that will change her world forever. In the middle of town, the local police have located the infamous Creeper van that was thought to only be a legend. Opening up the back and seeing dead bodies inside, they know that they have finally put a dent in the hunting pattern from the last few days, but they are starting to find out that this will not make a difference. As Sheriff Tashtego arrives on the scene and notices the booby traps, he gets filled in on the firefight that took place and with his task force ready for battle, he might be able to end the scourge that he faced once before when he was a young man. But getting word that the van is being towed back to impound without an escort, Tashtego knows that the Creeper will be on the hunt to get his vehicle back sooner than later. Getting his van back with little effort and getting a quick meal, the Creeper moves off the main roads for some more hunting. Arriving back at his van and seeing some boys hovering around it, he adds a couple more bodies to the pile, but there are plenty more people that reek with fear that should be added to his collection. Trolling his new surroundings, the Creeper finds another out of the way barn that is filled with fear, but seeing Addison and her boyfriend roll up, he finds another scent that he cannot live without. Plucking Addison from the truck and adding her to his collection, the Creeper does not know that she is still alive, or that she will able to cause more problems than expected in the van. Being woken up by a fellow survivor in the van, Addison is able to get loose of her restraints and helps her friend’s brother Kirk try to find a way out of the van. Knowing that the van is rolling death trap, Kirk avoids the back doors and fumbles around in the front to find that it is just as dangerous as the back. Being on her own, Addison plays dead as the Creeper comes back with his new catches, but she is unable to find an escape route before time runs out. Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Gaylen has uncovered the secret that her son buried, a severed limb from the Creeper that is not only still alive but can show you things about the creature. With a new game plan in mind, Tashtego and his posse are ready to take the Creeper out once and for all, but little do they know how difficult that task will actually be. While the other Jeepers Creepers were more about suspense and finding out who and what the Creeper is, this movie is more action based. While you don’t get crazy graphic kills, you do get plenty of cars flipping, booby-traps and CGI to add to the explosions taking place around the town. While it made the movie pretty fun to watch, it still had a storyline that tries to keep you tied in during the quiet spots when the Creeper is not on the screen. A budding love story comes out of this, along with a mother’s need to know what happened to her son years ago, even a Sheriff who wants to put an end to the killing before he is too old to continue the hunt. With more Creeper scenes than ever, almost seeing the Creeper say something, plenty of missing bodies, the Creeper Van, plenty of Creeper weaponry and plenty of firepower to stop anything on this planet, this movie is more about the Creeper than anyone else and while that might bug some folks, it is something that just needed to be done and I hope they make another one, because I am dying to see some more imagery of what happened around the towns before people knew what was going on. Stay Scared.
