Written by Scott Edwards Even though it may seem a bit crazy, sometimes a stranger will give you more than you ever dreamed of. If it be in friendship, help or even a pat on the back saying that things will be okay, all of these things can help you in the long run. It can be hard to accept this, but over time you can get a feeling for people that you do not know and are able to decide who you can and cannot trust. This does take time, however, so just don’t go off trusting people you have never met before without being careful. After a robbery gone bad, brothers Dominic and Miles are back on the road to try and find some help. Being shot in the hand during the failed attempt, Miles is fading in and out during the drive and wants nothing to do with the world anymore. Trying to get his brother's mind straight, Dom has promises for him, but if he ever talks like that again, he will make sure to beat the hate out of him. Finding a good place to spend the night in the middle of nowhere, the brothers rest up, but wake up to something that they did not expect. A group of drifters approach the car and believe that it is in working order and are ready to take it. Seeing the ailing Miles inside, the drifters pull him out and lay into him before leaving, but the leader wants to make a statement and is ready to kill the injured man. Seeing that his brother is in trouble, Dom tells the men to leave, but since they will not, he takes matters into his own hands. Gunning down the drifters, Dom packs himself and his brother up to make their way to the next stop. Rolling into a town that looks deserted, Dom asks the lone man he encounters where he can get some help, but the man does not say a thing, thus starting the beginning of the end for the small town. Slashing Dom’s tires, the man receives a beat down that is stopped by Vijah who wants to help the strangers that have arrived in her town. Hiding Miles in her camper, Dom heads out looking for payback for what happened to his car. Running into Sasha, Dom finds some female companionship that he has been missing for some time. Getting interrupted by Sasha’s boyfriend, Dom will become the main event for the town in more than one way. Being picked up himself, Miles is forced to watch his brother get murdered, but has no idea what lies ahead for his remaining time. Taking a liking to Miles, Vijah tries to keep an eye on him the best she can, but her leader Doyle is getting fed up with her antics and will do anything to bring a new face to the community, especially to the dining table. A very cool little flick and if you want to talk about people eating other people, well this might be the one for you. For a movie like this, you need to be in the right mindset to understand what is happening around you, especially when it comes to characters that are a bit off. Dom knows that his brother is a little slow-witted and will do anything to keep him safe from the outside world, even when Miles makes mistakes. A great showing of brotherly love there and it seems to transfer onto Vijah who does not want to see harm come to the younger brother. With plenty of blood, a baseball bat, guns, a psychotic family and people being in the wrong place at the wrong time, the movie is very well done and will keep you watching, hoping to see a happy ending, because damn, there is some craziness taking place. Stay Scared.
