Written by Scott Edwards Being surrounded by your friends and family during Christmas time seems to be something that many people like to do. While you might not see them every day, it is nice to have a time set aside to be with them and just let life pass you by a little bit. While the conversations will involve work, other sides of the family and politics, it is important to remember why you are all together. With nothing being more important than family, make sure you let them understand that as well, even if you are not able to make the venture, a phone call or email will make sure they know that you are thinking about them. As Christmas Eve has finally arrived, the girls of the Delta Alpha Kappa house are ready to start opening up their presents and no one is more excited than the house mother, Ms. Mac. Making sure that all of the girls that have stayed in the house over the holiday are downstairs, they are having a hard time in locating Megan, who seems to hate Christmas. Not knowing what is going on with their sorority sister, the girls leave her be for the time being, but as the night draws on, they start to hear disturbing sounds coming from upstairs. Finding Kyle in Megan’s room, the girls don’t know what to think, but Kelli is very unhappy that her boyfriend has broken into the house. Knowing more about the house than anyone else, Kyle is happy to tell everyone what happened back in 1991 when the legend of Billy Lenz was born under this very roof. Recounting that Billy blinded his little sister Agnes and killed his mother and father and decided to feast on his prize, the young killer and his sister were placed in an asylum. Not knowing what happened to either of the siblings, the group is about to find out that they are not alone in the house. Getting a visit from Clair’s sister Leigh, the group had no idea that the young woman was missing. Checking under the Christmas tree, Leigh notices that there is a present for Agnes from Billy which is very strange. With a plan in place to not leave the house before she finds out where her little sister is, Leigh and all of the sisters of the house are in for a night to remember as the phone will not stop ringing and the creep on the other end is looking for Agnes. Coming to the conclusion that it has to be Billy, the house starts to be terrorized from the inside and with little to no ways to fight back, the Delta Alpha Kappa legacy will never be the same again. Following the premise of the first movie, this remake takes things to another level as you get to see the killer along with his methods. Learning more about the house where Billy grew up (and killed his parents in) really added some genuine terror to the story. With a ton of blood hiding the floors all around, it is just a splatter fest and if you are into gore, this might be more of your cup of tea than the original. With fighting sorority sisters, plenty of boozing, a Christmas killer, a father/brother, some cannibalism, eyeballs and a little sister who is sick of being locked away, this is a Christmas slasher that will make you think twice about living in a house that could have so much pain locked inside. Stay Scared.
