Written by Scott Edwards Making a house into a home is no easy feat. There is so much that goes into moving into a new home and while unpacking seems to be the hardest thing to finish, there is still plenty more that needs to be done. Making the house a livable space for you and your family is something that takes time and whether it’s doing renovations or just moving the furniture to fit the house’s chi, it should be done as a family. The more time you spend together making your new space a home, the more your love will be absorbed into the foundation and that is what makes a house a home. After his wife’s passing, Richard Hagen has been able to move on. With his new wife Paige, the two have found a new house to move into to start making some memories of their own. With a smoking hot deal on the house, the two have no idea what happened there before they moved in and while everything seems fine, there is something inside of the walls that is not so inviting. After introducing his kids to the house, Cindy and Tommy are blown away by how nice it is. The Hagen family is having the time of their lives in the new house, but Paige is starting to have extremely disturbing dreams. Trying to tell Richard what she is seeing, he does not believe that it is the house, just pressure of the move and dealing with his kids. But after trying to talk to her mother using a Ouija board, Cindy starts to witness things that are not right and tries to find out if anyone else is seeing them as well. As dreams start to affect everyone in the house, the spirit hidden inside the walls comes out to play and torments the family, forcing them to leave for a moment. Putting in a call for Father Joseph to come and bless the house, Richard believes that this will put the problems to rest, but it just makes them worse. As different spirits start to attack everyone in the house, Richard tries to find out what happened in the house that could be making it hate them so much, but nobody knows. Finally calling the police to check out what is happening, the house comes to life once again, showing its power. Eventually, the family comes to discover that there is only one way to break the bond that the spirit has over the house and that is with prayer but will everyone survive what the spirit has planned for them? One of your basic possession stories that takes you to some dark places on the subject. Watching as the spirit torments Paige much worse than anyone else, she falls victim to its powers and becomes its puppet. The kids were great, as Cindy has her own secrets of what she wants out of life and Tommy is just along for the ride. There was something strange about the pacing of the movie overall, which did not keep me from watching, but it was pretty off until the house started to come alive. With an evil spirit, non-noisy neighbors, a Ouija board, a possession and plenty of darkness, it is a pretty good movie to check out if you want to see a possession taking over a family’s life. Stay Scared.
