Written by John Edward BetancourtComic Con has arrived at last and with it comes a treasure trove of treats for all your particular fandoms. For me, we all know I'm a horror and zombie aficionado so my most anticipated event at Comic Con is The Walking Dead panel and this year AMC decided to dazzle with two panels since Fear the Walking Dead joins the Kirkman Zombieverse this year. The best part of these panels is the trailers for the upcoming seasons they put on display and these trailers were quite the treat. So let's take a moment and break each of them down. The Walking Dead Well, this trailer I found downright intriguing because it is loaded to the gills with major events. First and foremost, there appears to be some major conflict coming up between Rick and Morgan and quite frankly I think that's a ruse. I'm sure the two will butt heads over a few things but even Scott Gimple said at the panel that trailers for this show are sometimes misleading and I'm fairly certain that's a clue. But what had me excited the most from this trailer was one particular thing...the massive herd that appears to be near Alexandria. Comic fans will remember that a super herd caused trouble for this fledging community and I'm wondering if that's what we were seeing in the trailer. Either way, October can't get here soon enough. Have to say this was a solid trailer, and I firmly believe it's leading us away from some big surprises coming later on in Season 6. After all, we still have the Wolves out there and who knows what else... Fear the Walking Dead Now this show has left me extremely curious from the start because of the fact that it serves as both a prequel and companion show to The Walking Dead and because quite frankly, there are few zombie tales out there that show the downfall of mankind. Of course you always have to worry if a prequel is any good and man...after seeing this trailer I am excited for this show. This really looks like a story that's going to be of two worlds. We will get your everyday tales of life and all the things we deal with and oh yeah...the end of the freaking world. The images they showed regarding the onset of the Walker Outbreak were nothing short of spectacular. Emergency services crews unsure of how to deal with walking corpses, panic in the streets and walkers that are hard to discern from man since there isn't the kind of rampant decomposition we see in the main series. Either way, this looks absolutely fantastic. I think we are finally getting a big budget end of the world zombiepocalypse on television and I couldn't be happier. But despite enjoying these awesome trailers, there's still the matter of waiting and that just got harder for me since Fear looks so amazing. But the good news is we get an extended dose of the dead this summer/fall since Fear will debut on August 23rd and air for six weeks which rolls us right into the season premiere of The Walking Dead. If you haven't had the chance to see the trailers yet, here they are below this article and if you see anything I might have missed, point it out, these shows are always loaded with goodies and I know I'll be watching these trailers over and over again until August.
