Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...This week's episode was directed by our own very lovable Misha! A series of strange events leads Sam to investigate in a town while Dean goes off in search of information on Abaddon's whereabouts! Sam is looking into why good people are turning into violent murderers, which leads him to meet an ex-nun that has an explanation for what's going on. Demons, happen to be her main theory. Sam asks her to explain further and she does. Turns out, the ex-nun was in a church when Henry Winchester and his partner Josie Sands showed up to investigate some weird happenings. Possessed nuns were killing people until the Men of Letter's candidates showed up to put a stop to it. They exercise a few demons and save a few lives, but they're too late. Abaddon, a Knight of Hell, has already been risen. She goes to possess Henry, but Josie begs to be taken in his place. Enter the sexy Abaddon we have now. After hearing this story, Sam figures that the people committing these murders don't seem right. As if their souls have somehow been removed. Being an expert on that, Sam would know. So he plans to see if he can't find a way to help them. In the basement of a nearby church he finds several glass jars with bright spheres in them. He's attacked by a demon and nearly killed but he manages to save his own skin and then frees the souls. Sending them back to the people they belong in. Meanwhile, Dean is withdrawn and instead of looking for Abaddon is actually sulking in a bar. Crowley decides to pay him a visit. Then when Dean seems too apathetic, a demon enters, disguised as a hunter, to attempt to kill Crowley. Dean, ever the gracious hero, does save Crowley. Though, there really wasn't any danger. It seems the hunter is broken. Between the fallout with Sam and the effects of the First Blade, Dean is having a hard time being himself. Crowley, in his own way, cares enough to try and snap him out of it. Seemingly it works, but for how long? Sadly, we have to wait until April 15th for the next episode. Ever still, Crowley has spent the last two episodes calling Sam and Dean, Moose and Squirrel respectively. I love the reference and hope they keep it up!
