Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...As their plans of leaving the city have come around, Eph, Nora and Zach are ready to board the train and travel to a safer place. Hearing that they will be on the final train out of New York since the National Guard will be taking over travel arrangements, the three are very lucky. But when hearing a gunshot ring out from behind the fence, the three know that the fight is still not over. After the train starts its long journey to safer pastures, it starts to encounter bumps along the tracks and what the conductor sees makes him slam on the breaks before the train can be derailed by the mass attack of Strigoi. Abraham and Fet find their way back into Alonso Creem’s house to bid on the Lumen, but find that the other interested party will not be attending and that Thomas Eichorst will be taking Palmer’s place. After verifying funds, the bidding war escalates quickly and before Alonso can catch his breath, the total reaches three hundred million dollars. Knowing that the bidding will not stop, Alonso checks the total funds available to determine the winner and Eichorst has the most. But before the old German is able to acquire the Lumen, his funds are cut off and he is left having to watch as Abraham takes the book out from under him. Eldritch Palmer is loving his day and the decision he has made to gain respect from both Eichorst and the Master. With Coco at his side, there is nothing that can frighten him as she has given him more than anybody ever has. Losing the Lumen to Abraham, Eichorst arrives at the rich man’s apartment and listening to his rantings, Eichorst has a surprise for the powerful couple. With the Master in attendance, Palmer is able to voice his demands straight to the one in charge, but the Master does not believe that anything should be changed at this point. Knowing that Palmer would be nowhere without his help and less of a nuisance without his new love, the Master takes Coco away from him and will leave the old man as weak as he was before. On the drive home from the auction, Fet and Abraham find themselves being attacked by a massive group of vampires. Thinking they were home free with the book, the two are shocked to see that Eichorst is attacking so quickly. With numbers not being in their favor, the two have to lock themselves in the heart of the van and when Fet lays down some covering fire, he sees that another group has joined the fight. Gus and his crew arrive and save the day in a manner of speaking and are able to take out the threat while Quinlan is able to talk to the Master through Eichorst. With rampant gunfire and the van being set to explode, the fight ends quickly, but the battle rages on. As the battle on the tracks starts, Eph gets separated from Nora and Zach and has to find them before it is too late. Taking out a couple of Kelly’s Feelers, he is rushing back to the station to meet up with them again. But Kelly is on the hunt for her son and when she finds him with Nora, she will stop at nothing to get him back. Nora will not go down without a fight and is able to gain the upper hand against Eph’s ex, but when she heads in for the kill, Zach is able to persuade her to stop. With Kelly basically beaten, she releases her stinger and bites Nora before the blade is able to take her head. As Zach watches in fear, he has his mother's back and follows her into the depths of the subway. Well, there you have it, the end of season two. It went out in grand fashion like it should have. I am a little bit disappointed that they took out the strong women in the story and now they will have to bring in some new ones, but I am not the one telling the story. Abraham and Fet have found some new friends in Quinlan, Gus and Angel as they are heading down river on their boat. Palmer has taken a note from Abraham and removed his love’s heart, the only organ that is still alive. Eph is on his own in the city after Nora took her own life by hitting the third rail. Kelly has gotten what she has wanted out of the darkness and Zach will remain with her until the end. Okay, well, I guess it will be a year before season three starts and the story continues, I don’t know if I can wait that long, but I guess I will have to. At least I have the books to fall back on until then to try and figure out what might be coming next. Stay Scared.
