Written by Scott Edwards There can be some heated debates over what people do and do not believe exists. While you may never be able to convince someone that you have seen Bigfoot or a ghost, you know what you saw and that should be good enough. With strange encounters being reported all over the world, there is something that they are always lacking, physical proof. While I highly doubt that a ghost sighting will be taken seriously, even with a picture, the skeptics will always say that it is something else. Even though there are going to be doubters out there, don’t take it to heart, you know what is real since you have seen it with your own eyes. After stories had hit the airways of local television, Dr. Lin Pascoe has taken the time to check out what is called the ‘most haunted house in Britain.’ With her findings from the past ten weeks being filmed and checked over, she has been given the opportunity to go live with the BBC news team on the air to show the world that ghosts really exist. As Michael Parkinson is manning the anchor chair, he has cameras in front of him and cameras all around the house and is ready to give the world the treat of a real ghost, or at least put the story to bed. At the Early house, reporter Sarah Green is inside and talking with Pamela and her two daughters Suzanne and Kim about what has been going on. With strange knocking in the middle of the night, apparitions hovering over them and even things being thrown around the house, nobody has taken the family seriously, but now they have been put front and center. As Kim tells the camera about her accounts with Mr. Pipes, she knows where the ghost hangs out, but has no idea what he wants from the family. Showing the folks at home that he lives in the basement and while the door is boarded up, he still makes his way to the girl’s room from time to time. Not knowing who this might be, there has been plenty of studies about the history of the house and it has not given any answers, but the news team is in for a treat tonight. While the broadcast continues, the house seems to be pretty quiet for a while, but Suzanne is having a hard time going to sleep. Getting a glass of water and heading back to bed, the knocking that has been reported starts up, but when panning the cameras around the house, they find Suzanne doing it. Admitting that this is what the show wanted, the reporters are dumbfounded and believe that all of the stories were made up, but there is more to the house than anyone could have expected. With people calling in and reporting strange things happening around their homes, Michael is very skeptical that they are telling the truth, but little does he or anyone at the BBC know that they have caused something that will change the lives of their viewers for generations. This is just a very cool idea and while this is not the first fake documentary ever made, it is sure an effective one. While I don’t live in Britain, this would have been a cool show to watch while it aired, since it does not seem to be a movie, it seems to be the real thing happening in front of our very eyes. This was pitched as real and the effects seem to be just that, from the knocking, the phantom voices, the devil voice, ghost cats and reporters not knowing what to do when the spit hits the fan. While I can look back and giggle at this since it was not part of my life, I wonder what the people that lived through this broadcast were thinking, since all signs point to this being a legit show and a spirit being released in the country. Stay Scared.
