Written by Scott Edwards There are times in life when you choose to do something that is life altering. While some of these decisions come in the comfort of your own home, there are times you need to find somewhere special to do it. While there are plenty of gorgeous places around the world, you need to find the place that speaks to you the most. While it could be on the top of Everest, The Stanley Hotel or just your family’s cabin in the woods, the place you feel the most comfortable with, will always deliver you the best results. While packing for their week at the cabin, Cammie runs across something that she has been waiting for all of her life, an engagement ring in Todd’s bag. Getting a call from her soon to be fiancé who is stuck at work, Cammie begs for him to leave soon since she knows the secret. Not being able to leave work until late, Todd promises to make it up on their trip with something that will not disappoint her. Knowing that she is about to have the picturesque engagement happen while on vacation, Cammie goes along with it all. Arriving with plenty of time to space, Cammie decides to do some quick things around the cabin while Todd passes out in his chair. Waking up to see not only his love giving him a little loving, but his brother watching the act through the window. Sal and his girlfriend Masha have decided to take the week at the cabin as well and don’t really care about Todd’s privacy, even though he booked it online weeks ago. Having his and Cammie dreams sliced up, Cammie makes her love promise to get rid of his brother as soon as possible so they can get on with their perfect life. Seeing his brother relaxing on the dock, Todd sees that it is the right time to have the conversation with Sal. Yet Sal is not ready to go, in fact he wants to have friends over for a party later on. As the brotherly squabble begins, it quickly gets out of hand and Todd, not thinking, makes it final when he swings an axe into his brother’s neck. Admitting to Cammie what he has done, the young woman comes up with a plan so that she will not lose her man to any prison time. Needing to make it appear that Sal and Masha never showed up to the cabin, Masha is disposed of as well and the two dead intruders are dropped to the bottom of the lake. But little do the masterminded couple realize that Sal had already planned his party, and everyone is looking for him, especially his best friend Dov who will not stop asking questions. Knowing that they cannot keep up the charade, Cammie and Todd must find a way to silence the old friend and not get caught while doing it. This is just one of those movies that shows how even the best laid plans can spiral out of control. Watching as Todd is trying to get the guilt of murdering his brother out of his head, he continues to see his brother in dead form, which would freak anybody out. Cammie on the other hand has no regrets in what she has done or will need to do to live her perfect life. The plans are sound and go pretty well, but there is always something that will keep it from being perfect and I would hate to see what Cammie would be like on her wedding day if someone were to touch her cake before she did. With a healthy amount of blood, a search for a missing person, disposing of body parts, axes, arrows, frying pans and a guilty conscience, overall, this flick is a pretty fun ride. Stay Scared.
