Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Can we take a moment here to just admire the balls Selina Kyle has? For real, she chills in Jim and Barbara's old apartment whenever she feels like it and eats whatever food is there. She's a girl after my own heart. She also has no remorse for her actions. I don't blame her. She says it herself; better there then on the streets. Jim stumbles upon her as he returns his keys, clearly not staying there anymore. Selina informs him she lied about seeing the Wayne's murderers face and leaps off the balcony. After that, Jim visits Bruce and finds out that the young boy isn't interested in anything the detective has to say. Seems Gordon isn't getting results fast enough and Bruce is a bit bitter about that. He brushes off Gordon, telling him to not worry about finding his parent's killer. Bruce has decided he'll do it on his own. With all that going on, it seems there's also a new murderer around town. Someone is killing people, so far just one guy, and taking a particular organ from them. Nygma sneaks into the medical examiners autopsy room and takes a look for himself. Sadly, he's caught by said medical examiner and the chief. Our plucky little riddle lover is suspended...which really annoys Jim when he finds out. Thankfully, he has a backup. A call to Ms. Tompkins has them meeting for a somewhat date. Of which, the two finally clear the air, and Jim admits he really likes her, he's just bad at dating. Before the date begins and before she can even look at the file, Jim is called away. Earlier, he and Harvey has stumbled upon a crime scene, and the victim is waking up. With all that going on Harvey decides to do some detective work of his own. He happens to be crushing hard core on the girl they questioned about the first victim. Both victims were part of a phobia support group, and the girl runs it, aside from being a member and a sponsor. She happens to have a fear of swimming pools. Thanks to her, Harvey gives the group a shot. Whether he's being honest about his fear or not is up for debate (aside from trying to win the girl over, I truly think he was being somewhat honest). During his group session, Todd, a fellow member, breaks down and leaves. Our love interest follows and Harvey eventually goes looking when neither return. With some calls, Harvey and Jim track down the pair at a local swimming pool where our girl is currently passed out at the bottom of. Jim pursues "Todd" and sadly loses him. Have our brilliant writers set up another bad guy? If it looks like the work of the Scarecrow, or his origins, it could easily be the Scarecrow. I truly hope it is anyway. Harvey saves our maiden and the baddy gets away. Nygma decides he's tired of the medical examiner and might hide some body parts in his locker. Said examiner is fired and Nygma is back to work. Is his love interest, Kringle, finally coming around? I hope so! They're awkwardly cute! And, the best plot twist of all, for me, Penguin gets his just desserts. When things seem to be going too well with Maroni, a phone call interrupts their lunch. Seems Fish is a spiteful thing. She fills the Don in on who Penguin is really working for. Maroni doesn't take any of this lightly and takes the little scamp on a trip. In a heated "truth for truth" game, Penguin loses his cool and spills everything to Maroni before shooting him with his own gun. Just kidding, Maroni's gun was filled with blanks (which, really, at that close of range would have acted like a real bullet, but hey! Gun nerd in the house!) and soon our creepy friend finds himself in a car about to be crushed in a junk yard. He only escapes because he convinces the operator of the machine that Falcone will kill his whole family if Penguin is found dead. What will Falcone do? How livid is Maroni? And what happened to Butch! Our final scene has the ship Fish is on being attacked and her going head to head with a gunmen. What wild cards are in store for us tonight? Awesome ones I hope.

Written by John Edward BetancourtTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Oh man, last night's episode of Agent Carter was about as loaded as you can get when it comes to an hour of television. We saw some important origins for the future, we reunited with old friends, but most importantly, Peggy Carter was back in action at last. So let's not waste another minute and get down to recapping last night's episode "The Iron Ceiling". The first order of business, The Black Widow program. This was just a fantastic piece to see on television as we learned that Dottie is a killing machine, well trained in the ways of the Black Widow. It was a program that held nothing back as we watched Dottie snap another young girl's neck, but seeing the program in action merely set up the fact that Peggy's new neighbor clearly has a mission when it comes to the missing Stark technology as well, and it should be interesting to see where this little plot thread is headed. But the bulk of tonight's story was all about the wireless typewriter and the message it sent to the SSR offices. Turns out Peggy was able to crack the code of the message it sent in record time and she learned that whomever was on the other end of that device, had a purchase of Stark technology in mind. The only downside...the purchase was to be made in the heart of Russia. So naturally a team is put together, one that Peggy wants in on, and the only way she gets to go as well...is to sign up the Howling Commandos for another mission. Now, this was simply the best part of the show last night. Seeing the Commandos and Peggy doing what they do best as they rescued a Russian scientist. It was just so satisfying to see the team back in action one more time. Plus, it finally got Peggy some street cred with the SSR, but alas, that may not last since Agent Sousa appears to have figured out who the mystery woman was at the club a few weeks ago, and that cannot be good for Peggy in any form or fashion. If anything, this episode was a transitional one through and through. We still have very little answers about well...anything and that's to be expected since I'm sure the answers we seek are coming near the end of the series, but man, what better a way to bridge the middle of the story and the end than by busting out some action and the Howling Freakin' Commandos!? Either way, this show has consistently delivered some of the best "filler" episodes I've seen on TV in years and while this one was fun, it looks like things get super serious next week. Until then... Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...I have to admit, few characters creep me out as bad as Gotham's Penguin does. For real, the actor playing him does a fantastic job. And while I know that's either a wig, or some seriously good hair wax/gel, that hair makes me cringe. Being the daughter of a hair dresser has taught me a lot about hair, and that includes keeping it nice. Penguins hair is a whole other blog waiting to happen, I swear. Last week, Jim Gordon made the stupidest mistake of his life, again, and Fish found herself in some serious hot water. The whole thing started with a random guy hanging dead in a warehouse. Ice picks are a fantastic murder weapon, as it turns out, and it looks like heels of shoes are a wonderful place to keep drugs. Leon, the janitor witness, agrees to come to the station and talk to a sketch artist. It seems, however, old Leon isn't going to get the chance to speak with said sketch artist because he is then promptly murdered. A sloppy handed, masked, guy stabs him with the ice pick in the back, twice. My Italian roots are a little angry at how unprofessional this assassin is. Plus, Leon is older and has a wife, and that was really sad to watch. Gordon isn't putting up with this nonsense and decides to have some words with some cops. He finds an officer that happens to have the same drugs on him as the first victim. Coincidence? Somewhat, since said detective is on the undercover drug squad and is in the midst of a hardcore investigation. Or so he says. After that, the chief decides to inform Jim that Leon's death was ruled a suicide and that they've been pulled off the first case all together. Pissed and with no options left, Jim does the stupidest thing in the history of stupid things. He asks the Penguin for help.... Little Oswald has happily taken over Fish's old place. The relationship he has with his mother is insanely inappropriate. Not to mention, she creeps me out too. The casting director did a really great job! Jim asks for any information on the case Penguin can find, and the mobster is more than willing to help. Even sending his right hand goon, Gabriel, to do the job. One hard core interrogation of the sleezy cop Jim first tried to arrest ends with a murder weapon and confession. Jim is filled with self righteousness as he arrests the supposed murderer, or well, tries too. The captain actually does the arresting. It's only after that and the confessing cop begging to be left alone by Jim, does he realize just what asking Penguin for help did. Meanwhile, Fish gets free from her torturer by way of Butch saving her. They make their way to her old place where she beats Penguin until Zsasz shows up. Butch kills one of the psychopaths girls before helping Fish escape. Sadly, he's then shot and we're left hanging on whether Zsasz kills him or takes him... Without knowing what's going on, Bruce is out looking for Selena with the help of Alfred. After a run in with Ivy, he's able to get a message to her. Selena shows up and Bruce offers her the snow globe he bought her while away. She's flattered, until he asks her to stay with them. Selena promptly gives back the gift and lies. Now claiming she never saw his parent's killer, she demands he leave her alone. Storming off in a huff, she leaves a very confused and angry/sad Bruce behind. Lies don't make friends, and everyone knows that. Tonight! We get to see what Jim does with his stupidest stupid ever, and, well, isn't that just worth it!? |
