Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...I have to admit, few characters creep me out as bad as Gotham's Penguin does. For real, the actor playing him does a fantastic job. And while I know that's either a wig, or some seriously good hair wax/gel, that hair makes me cringe. Being the daughter of a hair dresser has taught me a lot about hair, and that includes keeping it nice. Penguins hair is a whole other blog waiting to happen, I swear. Last week, Jim Gordon made the stupidest mistake of his life, again, and Fish found herself in some serious hot water. The whole thing started with a random guy hanging dead in a warehouse. Ice picks are a fantastic murder weapon, as it turns out, and it looks like heels of shoes are a wonderful place to keep drugs. Leon, the janitor witness, agrees to come to the station and talk to a sketch artist. It seems, however, old Leon isn't going to get the chance to speak with said sketch artist because he is then promptly murdered. A sloppy handed, masked, guy stabs him with the ice pick in the back, twice. My Italian roots are a little angry at how unprofessional this assassin is. Plus, Leon is older and has a wife, and that was really sad to watch. Gordon isn't putting up with this nonsense and decides to have some words with some cops. He finds an officer that happens to have the same drugs on him as the first victim. Coincidence? Somewhat, since said detective is on the undercover drug squad and is in the midst of a hardcore investigation. Or so he says. After that, the chief decides to inform Jim that Leon's death was ruled a suicide and that they've been pulled off the first case all together. Pissed and with no options left, Jim does the stupidest thing in the history of stupid things. He asks the Penguin for help.... Little Oswald has happily taken over Fish's old place. The relationship he has with his mother is insanely inappropriate. Not to mention, she creeps me out too. The casting director did a really great job! Jim asks for any information on the case Penguin can find, and the mobster is more than willing to help. Even sending his right hand goon, Gabriel, to do the job. One hard core interrogation of the sleezy cop Jim first tried to arrest ends with a murder weapon and confession. Jim is filled with self righteousness as he arrests the supposed murderer, or well, tries too. The captain actually does the arresting. It's only after that and the confessing cop begging to be left alone by Jim, does he realize just what asking Penguin for help did. Meanwhile, Fish gets free from her torturer by way of Butch saving her. They make their way to her old place where she beats Penguin until Zsasz shows up. Butch kills one of the psychopaths girls before helping Fish escape. Sadly, he's then shot and we're left hanging on whether Zsasz kills him or takes him... Without knowing what's going on, Bruce is out looking for Selena with the help of Alfred. After a run in with Ivy, he's able to get a message to her. Selena shows up and Bruce offers her the snow globe he bought her while away. She's flattered, until he asks her to stay with them. Selena promptly gives back the gift and lies. Now claiming she never saw his parent's killer, she demands he leave her alone. Storming off in a huff, she leaves a very confused and angry/sad Bruce behind. Lies don't make friends, and everyone knows that. Tonight! We get to see what Jim does with his stupidest stupid ever, and, well, isn't that just worth it!?
