Written by John Edward BetancourtTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...If there's one thing I've learned about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., when they pull out all the stops, they don't mess around. They've done it a few times on the show now, leaving all of us in awe when they do it and last night...well apparently it was time to do it again because holy cow, they unleashed all kinds of creative fury on all of us. Except this time, I think we knew it was coming after those closing moments of the show last week when they revealed that Andrew was Lash, but I don't think we were ready for the emotional mess that came with this grand reveal and quite frankly, I'm still reeling over that insane ending that we will get to in a moment because let's be honest, the topic of the hour is one thing and one thing alone...Andrew and May's fractured relationship. This was the episode where we found out what went wrong after they tried to reconcile at the end of last season and while earlier this season it seemed as though they simply couldn't fix their differences, it turns out that was never the case. There was progress, there was romance and then...there was Lash. Yes, during a short break where Andrew was all alone we discovered he had full access to all the personal effects from Daisy's mom and Afterlife and as a parting gift from her...there was a broken Terrigen crystal lying within a book that documented the identity of every single Inhuman on earth and well...it turned out the good doctor had the proper Inhuman gene markers and Andrew was transformed into Lash. May of course, armed with her newfound knowledge from Werner Von Strucker confronted her love about the truth and well...things got ugly. Andrew iced her and took her to an abandoned building at his university to talk while Lincoln contacted Mac. He had put two and two together as well and came to realize that Lash was someone within S.H.I.E.L.D. and Mac put the final pieces together after witnessing May check out Andrew's flight records earlier in the episode. It led to one grand and final showdown with Andrew who despite Coulson's best efforts turned into Lash when Lincoln confronted him and after a bloodbath that put down several ATCU agents, May was finally able to reach Andrew before blasting him with a few bullets and shoving him into containment before letting Price do her suspended gel thing. If all of that wasn't enough to leave us breathless last night, the show decided to up the ante, throwing the biggest curveball our way yet when it came to the Price/Coulson romance that's been budding on the show. We were privy to a moment between Ward and Hydra lackey Malick when a phone call to Mister Malick revealed one horrible truth, Rosalind Price is working for freaking Hydra! We go from one finale that left my jaw dropped with that feeling in the pit of my stomach that no one is safe to another ending that does the same thing! This is simply brutal. This show continues to manage to top itself and you know damn well I'll be waiting anxiously to find out what happens next week when it looks like Price's true intentions are finally revealed. Until then.
