Written by John Edward BetancourtTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...So, I have to give some major credit to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when it comes to their storytelling this year because of one simple fact...it's been absolutely fantastic. This season has been the perfect blend of action, adventure and drama and last night was no exception as the show continued what may be its best season to date with one incredible episode. After all, we were treated to quite a few wonderful things last night. First and foremost, we got the good news that Andrew survived his assault from Hydra and the fury May felt over Ward going after her honey brought her back to S.H.I.E.L.D. which in my household may have led to someone watching the show cheering loudly at the television and getting a confused look from the dog. It happens sometimes and I digress, because May wanted one thing when all was said and done, revenge on Ward. She and Bobbi hit the trail to find him in fact and we quickly learned a few significant things along the way. One, that Bobbi is clearly hesitant to be back in the field despite May forcing her back into action and I wonder if that little bit of fear within her will resurface again despite the fact she overcame it long enough to kick some tail and the other little nugget of information we discovered is that not all of Hydra's senior leadership is as dead as we were led to believe since last night we met Gideon Malick. He seems to be quite the mysterious figure, and a man that everyone in Hydra feared, according to Ward. We only got a taste of this character but, not gonna lie, the fact that Powers Boothe is playing him is awesome, and it's inherently clear this is one ruthless and intelligent man and I'm curious to see what role he will play on the show this year now that we have met him. But all the fun and action aside, a couple of other important things happened as well. We finally got a look inside the A.T.C.U. facility and discovered that Inhumans are indeed being treated in a humane but weird fashion since Price is basically putting them into suspended animation until a cure can be found, and the hunt for Lash...finally led to the big reveal as to who he is. At first Daisy and Mack thought he might be a member of the A.T.C.U., but all of those leads came up empty. Instead it turned out to be the last person possible we thought it could be as Baron Von Strucker's annoying son reveals to Agent May...Lash is her husband Andrew. Yes, somewhere along the line Andrew was turned by the Terragen and he is the big monster that has been wiping out the Inhumans every chance he gets. Now we know why he has been so hell bent on making sure no Inhuman makes it to active duty, and how all of them are being discovered and that's just terrifying, because you could see the fury in his eyes and his disdain for his own kind in the last three minutes of the show. In fact I'm not sure any one of us felt safe watching him talk to Daisy about Lincoln during the final moments of the episode. Either way, bravo to this show for surprising us with this excellent twist and it's going to make the wait for next week al the more difficult.
