With the end of school and the start of summer, many of us are left with a lot of free time we didn't know we had. Seriously guys, I was so bored on Monday I contemplated calling into work to see if they needed any help. How sad is that? Okay, maybe not so sad, I actually enjoy my job, but it is summer and there should be a lot of things to do, right? If you're like me, and you detest the heat, then I have some of my guilty summer pleasures for you. All of which involve the nice air conditioned safety of the great indoors. First on my list is exactly what I did end up doing most this past weekend. You guys know just how much I love my drama filled TV shows. Grab your spoons and your tubs of ice cream because Bravo has a whole new set of the shows I personally love, coming to TV, this summer. The People's Couch is something I discovered this Sunday, and it is literally a show about people watching other shows! It's kind of fun, because it shows their reactions! It's an interesting concept for a TV show, but nonetheless is absolutely fun. They also have going now, The Real Housewives of New York, The Real Housewives of Orange County, and starting in a few days…or weeks, is The Ladies of London. Which is kind of like any other show on Bravo, but it's with some British women and some American women living in England! What's not to love about that show!? I don't know, it hasn't aired yet, but you better believe I will be watching that. I'm pretty sure, at this point, I will watch anything Bravo puts out. They have Million Dollar Listings and a few spin offs of that going. It's about high end real-estate brokers in New York, L.A., and soon, Miami. The drama that goes down on this show is priceless. Not to mention, those houses/apartments they sell? Wow. I wish I could afford to go live in NYC! If you guys are looking for some good TV fun, check out Bravo! Speaking of TV, guys, Heroes of Cosplay season 2 starts May 27th! Are you guys excited? I'm excited! Speaking of, Syfy is also host to The Wil Wheaton Project. What is this show about, you may be asking? Guess we're all going to have to tune in to find out! Netflix is another guilty pleasure of mine. They have everything and anything on there that you didn't know you wanted to watch. It's like, you sit down to watch one episode of something, and suddenly its twelve hours later, you don't know where your pants are, and you've crammed 6 years of television into just a few hours, and watched several documentaries on how socks are made. Not really an exaggeration people….I swear this happened to me! Well, they have seasons of past shows that I've not yet had a chance to watch. Guess who's going to watch Breaking Bad this summer? This girl! Also, I discovered Crackle….I don't even know what it is, I just know I need to find out more about it. It's supposedly like Netflix, but free. I've not explored it yet, but I'll keep you guys posted via Twitter. Which I'm terrible about lately…sorry! And of course, movies. Now, I work at a movie theater, so I've not had the time, or chance, to actually see any movies yet. It's been a while since I've gone, but with all these amazing movies coming out this summer? Yeah, you know where you can find me and Mattie! I'm looking forward to a lot of them, but the most exciting ones for me are, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and X-Men: Days of Future Past. X-Men has always been a huge part of my life, and it's amazing to see these films on the big screen! I'll have to drag my dad to this one for sure, as many of you know how special this series is to the both of us. Surprisingly, I'm not huge into the comics, but I feel like I've got plenty of time to catch up, maybe? And of course, when all else fails…comics are a fantastic way to avoid the summer heat. Enchanted Grounds isn't too far from where we live, and I have a few comic subscriptions that I pick up…every once in a while. Nightwing is my favorite comic from DC's New 52, and of course I have my archer's, Green Arrow and Hawkeye. Whatever you fancy, a trip to your local comic shop is always a great idea and has something for everyone to enjoy! Alright guys! Remember to stay cool! And if all else fails? Laser Tag.
