Are you like me? Do you hate crowds? If so, going out on Valentine's Day can be a bit of a nightmare. But! That's all right! I'm here to share my geeky ideas and make things better. Mostly I'm here to spew the awesome ideas in my head out on paper and hope for the best. It's the little things after all. Valentine's Day is all about the romance. And sometimes, that can be easier said than done. I am a hardcore romantic to my very soul. I'm also a geek. Normally, I have a billion gifts and places to find them. Today, we're keeping it simple. Nothing says romance like a homemade candlelit dinner with some nerdy flare. Whether you are a nerd or are trying to romance a nerd, the effect won't go unnoticed. Firstly, we will need some candles, and color is very important. Depending on the nerdy theme you're going for, the color will set that mood. Red and blue for Star Wars, or even Star Trek! Or blue for the TARDIS. Either way, candles are always a plus, and let's face it, fire is pretty. However you plan the menu, it is Valentine's Day. You'll need, chocolate, and more chocolate. Did I say chocolate? If you're like me and you have some nerdy ice cube trays laying around, you'll get bored and experiment. Some simple melted chocolate in a Batman ice tray mold, and look at that fancy home made treat! I've yet to try making filled or layered chocolate, but hey! I have some time to experiment....they also can work with candies, for those who don't like chocolate. However, it's not a true romance without some main course options. What says "I love you" more than a zombie feast! Who doesn't love zombies? Ribs of Dale and Bob Leg Burgers always seem like the perfect zombie meal. My to mention, red wine makes a great blood substitute. I just don't recommend actual fish sticks and custard, not together anyway...but, watching the Doctor eat it isn't bad! Dinner, homemade candies, and some spectacular nerdy movie or show is just a perfect setting. Now stow that all away, grab the Nerf Guns and Light Sabers and fight for who does dishes. Hopefully these ideas make your Valentine's Day super special, and if not, well hey, at least you had an awesome and geeky day, and there's nothing wrong with that!
