Written by ShaeA few years ago, a friend posted on Facebook about the kittens she had recently helped rescue. All had been adopted out, but one. It’s funny to me too how dogs seem to have breeds, but cats are classified as long hair, short, or medium. Rarely do you see cat breeds posted or anything, unless you’re at a show, or in a pet store. I had messaged, and then called my friend Kendra right away about the cat. Don’t ask me why, I just knew I had to have him. I had to save this cat, and I knew this tiny little life would have a great home with me. Shadow wasn’t too thrilled about the idea of a little brother, but he’d get over it eventually. Finally, she’d called me back, and the next day I went and got him. Avenger was tiny, and a ball of energy. This cat had no time for being held or snuggled, he was all about the toys and the string, and a blanket. Avenger had come from a home where he was being horribly abused. At 4 months old he was still nursing on anything he could get his hands, or paws and mouth, on. It wasn’t for food, it was for comfort. Today at 4 years old, he will still nurse on a blanket, but it isn’t out of fear or to self soothe. Now it’s because he's happy. The once un holdable kitten enjoys being picked up, loved on, and snuggled. He still plays, and while he’s no longer a terror, he is a very playful cat. Shadow did eventually come around and the two play all the time. I was shocked when Avenger kept growing. He grew and grew, and eventually, well, he just didn’t really stop. He has for now, though he’s got one more year before he’s considered an adult cat. Avenger is a Maine Coon mix, which means he has some long and lovely hair, just like today’s first Pet! Tiger is a nine year old cat, and currently in a foster home so you will have to make arrangements with that home to meet her. She is spayed, loves people and loves to be pet. However, she doesn't do well with children, they make her nervous, but loves adults and bonds with them easily and if you're looking for just one pet for your home that's perfect for Tiger since she is used to being the only pet in the house. Jade is a 7 year old black and white female! She’s extremely social, loves toys, treat, pets, and attention! Jade is also declawed, good with new people, and looking for her forever home where she can be a part of your daily life! She’s a very active cat, and likes to explore new places, make friends, and nap! Who doesn’t love naps?
