Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Sorry this blog is a bit on the late side everyone! I recently had to get ready to move on short notice, which put a dent in a lot of things. But I am now in my new place and am trying to get my life reorganized! Normally I try to get this blog out as soon as I can, I just didn't get a chance to watch this episode until last night. Talk about busy! I half expected this episode to be about Killian's half-brother Liam, but it was actually about his older brother. Seeing the man end up in the underworld is a bit of a shock, since Liam was supposedly the more sensible of the two. I wasn't surprised to find that big brother didn't approve of Emma....seems Liam was quite reluctant to actually accept Emma, and totally blamed her for Killian being here. Which, I mean, yeah, it kind of is her fault. Emma suspects something is up with the older Jones and she's not wrong. Liam's acting fishy, pun intended, for a reason. He's made a deal with Hades behind Hook's back; that's just in poor taste. Still, Liam's determination to keep the secret was rather impressive. Not only did he lie to everyone about it, he actually did find the book, rip out the pages and destroy them, then lied to Killian's face about it. Guys, this is a perfect example of how not to be a terrible person. Just kidding, life is complicated. We find out that Killian and Liam used to be indentured servants to a ship, thanks to daddy dearest. That Liam made a choice to stay with his brother, and then bad decisions were made. Hook has been the more drunk of the two, and along the way Liam always felt responsible. A mutiny is staged and a deal is offered. Hades will give Liam what he wants, and save his brother, at the cost of the ship's crew's souls. For the sake of drama, and because it's a good deal, right? Liam takes it. That's right, Killian spent his whole life thinking his brother was perfect, only to find out that he was a liar. The ultimate sacrifice is made and Liam, not to mention the innocent ship's crew, get to move on to their better place. Throughout the episode we saw Emma and Hook kind of fight, and he finally figured out that she's kind of got a point. Killian wants to live. Only, here's a snag. Liam did rip out the pages of the storybook removing Hades' story. It's a good thing we have the Author with us, right? Henry makes the decision to do his job. After finding the pen and ink he thought he destroyed, he can write Hades story, and he can do his job, record history. What is Hades story? Well, it involves Zelena, so it really can't be that good.
