Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...This show is something I have not been the best at keeping up with. However, when I heard they were doing a Frozen story line, I knew I had to watch. Last Sunday was the premiere of season 4, and this show kicked off with one fun opener. After all, we know the Disney movie that has defined a princess story for a generation. With Elsa and Anna joining the ever growing cast of fairy tale characters on this whirlwind show. Last week we got our introductions of the newest additions. Elsa arrived in Storybrooke with one goal in mind, find her sister Anna. At the end of last week, Elsa put a wall of ice around the town, demanding Anna be found. This week, Emma, Hook, and Charming find the ice wall and run into the worried Queen. Feeling threatened, Elsa traps her and Emma in a cove of ice leaving Charming and Hook frantically scrambling for a way to them. Emma, however, isn't immune to the cold like Elsa is, and soon she's failing to keep warm or awake. The two do get a chance to bond before Emma passes out. Sharing one common interest, an inability to control their powers. With all that happening in the present, there is always a past story intertwined in all this. We get to see the backstory of Anna's arrival into the Enchanted Forest. As it so happens, a young Prince Charming, David, knew Anna's fiancé, Kristoff. Because of this, David offers Anna a place to sleep along her journey. And we also get to see Little Bo Peep. Bo isn't the kind little sheep herder we all know and love. Instead she uses her staff to control and mark people. With such powers, she intimidates people into paying her protection money. I gotta admit, I admire that just a bit, but then again she is somewhat evil. When Bo shows up at David's farm demanding money, Anna is determined to make David fight for his land. In the end, David does fight and win against Bo. But not before she marks David and Anna. Fast forward to the present and we just happen to find Bo again. She's a butcher with attitude. Still, Hook and Charming take her staff and make their way back to Emma and Elsa. Using Emma's radio, Charming talks Elsa down. The Queen finally gets ahold of her powers and gets her and Emma out. Emma's safe in Hook's arms and everyone is safe. Right? Not so much...once Emma is safe, she tries to help Elsa with her powers in taking the ice wall down. That wall, it's not going anywhere. Convinced she's the only one with ice powers, Elsa is confused. A simple ice cream shop owner doesn't seem to be so normal. When she touches things and they turn to ice. With such strong magic, it seems this girl will be a formidable opponent. Is there more to this story? Of course! There's no such thing as a coincidence. Not in Storybrooke.
