Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Last night, Once Upon a Time aired the episode we've all been waiting for, the one where we get a glimpse into the Snow Queens past. After all, evil isn't born, it's made and every baddie has had their side of the story told. It seems Regina isn't the only evil queen with a sad origin. The tale begins with three sisters, Ingrid. Helga, and Gerda. The princesses of Arendelle are playing when they come across a man who wants to kidnap them for ransom. Ingrid discovers her ice powers in a horrifying moment to protect her sisters. At first, they're all accepting. Helga and Gerda promise they'll love and help Ingrid always. The sisterly bond is born and it seem everything will be alright. But as fairytale go, happy never lasts for long. It's at a party that Ingrid discovers her powers are beyond her control. She plans to leave, but is stopped by her two sisters. Gerda speaks up about a man that might be able to help Ingrid control her powers. As always, magic comes with a price. Rumple offers up gloves that could help Ingrid control her powers, and an urn....one that would contain her if her powers were too out of control. Finally, Ingrid is able to be out of her room. The Duke, a man Helga is in love with, comes to visit with Ingrid and hit on her....a slip of her powers has him trying to turn Helga against her, but the love Helga has for Ingrid is stronger than he words. He threatens to tell all of Arendelle about Ingrid and the monster she is. The future queen goes to stop him with her powers, but strikes Helga as she goes to protect the man. Hitting her heart, Helga is frozen and turned to solid ice in seconds. She shatters in Ingrid's arms. Gerda stumbles upon the scene and takes the urn, locking Ingrid away....she then goes to the rock trolls and asks grand Pabbie to make a potion strong enough to wipe the memories of everyone in the kingdom. Nobody in Arendelle will remember Ingrid or Gerda. Pabbie warns that magic comes with a price...could this be why Gerda's daughter, Elsa, has ice powers? In the present, Elsa and Emma have managed to capture the Snow Queen. Emma detains her and tries talking to her but things are only getting worse. The Snow Queen riles Emma up so bad she blasts a hole in the side of the building. The Snow Queen escapes and Emma is unable to control her powers. In her haste she knocks a lamp over and it slams into David. For the first time, Emma sees her family stare at her with fear....she flees... On a brighter note Robin has finally decided where his heart lies. After confronting Regina previously, he tells her he won't live by his code if it means giving her up. He loves her, and refuses to let her go. Regardless of the consequences. Hopefully with that happy ending brewing, nobody will notice that the Snow Queen is making a deal with Rumple once more. In exchange for her ribbons back she gives him information about the hat. The magical hat that can free him from the dagger...but are his intentions pure? Probably not. With so many things going on its hard to wait a whole week for the next episode. Hopefully, things start sorting themselves out soon!
