Once Upon a Time Recap: "Fall"

The spell of Shattered Sight has been cast, and it seems all of StoryBrooke is trying to outrun it. Sadly, there is no outrunning this spell. There may be hope, however. For Gold, there’s always a way out. He makes a deal with the Snow Queen…let him take Belle and Henry and go. She agrees, but there’s no time before the spell hits. Gold may be immune, but his family isn’t. Protecting his wife is the top of his list. Or is it?

The Fairies have all gathered in one places, attempting to make a counter spell. There is one, they just need one thing; Anna. The princess, however, is still not anywhere to be seen. Instead, they can use the necklace. The spell will take longer to make, but it will work just as good, supposedly. Elsa isn’t willing to part with the necklace. It’s the only thing she has left of Anna now. With Emma’s help, though, they use a tracking spell on the necklace. It leads them to a beach, but there is no Anna…where could she be? It seems in Arendelle still. She and Kristoff are no longer frozen, neither is their country. Which also means Hans is free. Anna and Kristoff fight their way out of the castle, and make their way to Blackbeard. The legendary Pirate might be able to help them find Elsa. Rumor has it they have a Wishing Star. Anything can be bought for a price, right? Sadly, so can loyalties. Blackbeard has betrayed them, now under Hans’ control. He orders Anna and Kristoff locked into a chest. Just before they’re thrown overboard, the two find out that they’ve been frozen for 30 years. Hans now has control over all of Arendelle, and it would seem our heroine and her fiancé are going to drown.

The Wishing Star they were after just happens to be in Anna’s necklace. The very one Elsa is holding and wishing desperately for her sister to be with her. In a stroke of fate the two sisters are reunited…But, before they can make it to the shop where the fairies are working on a counter spell, Gold and Hook get there first. The fairies will give the magical hat enough power to break the bond between Gold and his dagger. With his heart in the hands of the crocodile, Hook has no choice but to obey the command. Every last fairy is sucked up into the hat…Emma and the others arrive just in time to see the empty shop. Blaming the Snow Queen is easy when they’ve no trace to prove otherwise.  With no options left and time running out, they head back to the station where Snow and charming are waiting. The two lock themselves in different sells. Snow gives baby Neil to Emma while Anna cuffs Kristoff to the heavy desk. There is no escaping the spell, except for those who wear the ribbons, and Anna. Having been exposed to it once before means she’s not able to fall prey to it a second time.

Regina seals Henry away, before trapping herself inside the vault. Everyone locks down as best they can, even Belle is sealed in Gold’s office. The Dark One is immune, after all…but his plans are far from over…with the spell hitting, a family united, there’s much to worry about. Perhaps this won’t be as bad as we’re all assuming. Surely Anna, Elsa, and Emma can find a way to stop the Snow Queen, and save Hook before Gold finishes his evil plans…
