Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Jessica has finally been able to claim her prize, she has captured Kilgrave once and for all. Having him locked up in his own prison, Jessica now needs to be able to find proof that Kilgrave does in fact have the power of mind control. Forcing him to relive his days in the laboratory and stand in several inches of water hooked up to an electrical current, Jessica believes that she is close to making him break, but Kilgrave is one tough customer and when the camera is on, he is more in charge of his own mind than anyone could have expected. Simpson was able to get ahold of Trish to take him to the hospital after being delivered a bomb from Kilgrave. With his entire team down, Simpson will only allow Dr. Kozlov to treat his injuries and even though he is not on staff at the hospital, he is on call. Before Trish is sent on her way after saving her man’s life, Simpson pleads with her to kill Kilgrave with the pistol that he gave her. With so much power and no responsibility, Kilgrave can hurt more people than doing good on any given day and that has to end before more people get hurt. After waking up from his operation, Simpson is back on Kozlov’s team and with the right medication, he may turn into a solider that cannot be stopped. With the act that Kilgrave is putting on in his cell, Jessica has to find something else that can make the man crack. Leaving Jeri in charge of watching the evil man seems like a good idea, but when he is able to get into her head, she knows that there is something he can do to help her. Complaining about women problems, Kilgrave knows about the divorce and in a roundabout way, he offers Jeri an out since it is getting to be more violent than she expected. When Jeri stops by for the second time to take watch, she is ready to release the madman back into the world, but Jessica arrives at the right time to make sure nothing bad has happened. Looking into Kilgrave’s past, Jessica is able to pinpoint the lab where Kilgrave was experimented on and also got the madman’s parents’ names. Seeing the photos, Jessica recognized the woman as someone that she has seen in the Kilgrave Support group. Having Malcolm set up an emergency meeting, Jessica’s prayers came true when she sees the old woman show up. Following her home, Jessica confronts the parents, but finds out that Kilgrave’s story about being abused was off the mark, his parents were trying to keep him from going brain dead and he was given one of the greatest side effects imaginable. Getting Kilgrave’s parents to agree to come down to her little prison and confront their son to make him crack will be enough and getting Detective Clemons to be in attendance as well will prove that the tape is not a fraud and a piece of evidence that will swing in Hope’s benefit. But leaving Jeri alone with Kilgrave turns out to be the wrong idea, since she is more worried about her own life than what the man behind the glass can do to everyone in attendance. Wow, if I was to say that this episode did not pack a punch, I would be outright lying. As the story escalates, you get to see how much Jeri’s lively hood is worth to her and it does not matter to her who gets hurt as long as she is ok. Meeting Kilgrave’s parents was my favorite part of the episode and I am saddened that they will not be around to hear more from, but you did get the impression that they were living in hell when their boy got his powers. Hope is not lost for Hope as she has just passed up on a plea deal by the DA that would have given her twenty years and not life, because Jessica was able to capture evidence on camera of Kilgrave’s powers. It will be interesting to see what happens next after the grand finale of an escape that freed Kilgrave and possibly gave him a bit of closure from his childhood.
