Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...After revealing to her friend Luke that she was responsible for the death of his wife, Jessica has turned back to the bottle and will not be stopping until she gets cut off. After finding her way to the street, her job for Jeri comes back into play as she sees Wendy walking to the subway station. Stopping Jeri’s soon to be ex-wife and intimidating her to no end to get Wendy to sign the divorce papers, Jessica starts to see that she is losing herself more than she knows. Arriving home and finding the body of Ruben in her bed, Jessica knows that she will never be safe from Kilgrave and has a different plan, one that she can carry out. Wanting to get locked up in the supermax prison, Jessica is ready to turn herself in for the murders that have been carried out either by her or for her. Knowing it will not be easy to convince the police that she is crazy enough to deserve to be in supermax, Jessica turns to Jeri once again for advice. Telling her lawyer to meet her at the police station at 8pm, Jessica has a matter of hours to tie up the loose ends in her life. Trying to make sure everything is ok between her and Luke, Jessica tries the bar, but Luke is taking a couple of days off after the bombshell was dropped on his life. Then visiting Trish’s mother and telling her to stay away from her daughter, Jessica has one final goodbye to say and that is to the city that has made her into the woman she has become. Malcolm will not allow Jessica to go through with her plan and is finally able to get ahold of Trish to help him out. Taking the body down to the river and dumping it in may be the best plan, but Jessica is not too far behind. Trish tries to talk her friend down as well, and promising that she will be able to find Kilgrave with her new lead, Jessica should be happy that their first plan of kidnapping might actually work. While Jessica is grateful for her friends, she knows that getting into supermax is the only way to bring Kilgrave to the surface once again and he would have to make it through several security checkpoints with cameras to get to her, mainly to see him display his power. Having to picks up the pieces that her friends have hidden from her, Jessica is forced to act a little more crazy than normal. But this episode is purely about Kilgrave and his love for Jessica Jones. Purchasing her childhood home and now searching through her current apartment, Kilgrave will not have anyone else fighting for the woman’s heart. Making Ruben kill himself in Jessica’s bed may not have been the best way to win Jessica back, but keeping her from going to prison may be the first step in a long process. As Jessica tries to turn herself in for the murder of Ruben, with head in hand, the police are not willing to throw the book at her yet and when she gets upset and displays her power, she is told that she is free to go. Seeing Kilgrave again, face to face, Jessica is confused to why a man that would confess his love towards her would continue to torture her, but when all is said and done, she knows that she will have to abide by his rules to keep the innocent from getting hurt. The episodes keep getting darker and darker and my mind, that means that they are getting better as the story continues to play out. I am really digging getting to know Kilgrave a little bit more and his motivations seem to be pure, at least for Jessica that is…and for now. With Will Simpson doing anything that Trish asks him too, you know that he has put a target on Kilgrave’s chest and if given the opportunity to take out the mind controller, he will. Malcolm is continuing to remain clean and clear and helping his friend Jessica when now she has pretty much taken his spot. Not wanting her to throw her life away, he is keeping a close eye on her and getting help from her friends when needed. I would only wish I could have a junkie friend like him to keep me straight when the day comes. The Jeri and Wendy divorce story is also reaching its peak, as now Wendy is threating with evidence that could get Jeri disbarred from practicing law ever again. Well, that is it for episode seven. On to the next and this already being the midseason one, well, I cannot wait to see where the second half takes us.
