Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Jessica has to battle with her inner demons when it comes to taking on a new case based on referral. After what happened to the Shlottman family, she will not take another chance that Kilgrave might be behind it. When she is approached by Audrey Eastman to photograph her cheating husband, Jessica has to find out what the woman’s intentions really are. Trailing her new client, Jessica sees that the woman has a gun and is ready to use it at a moment’s notice, but on who is the question Jessica needs answered and will soon find out when she determines that Kilgrave is not behind the visit. After Trish’s interview with Hope, Jeri Hogarth’s office is blowing up with people claiming to have been controlled by Kilgrave. When Jessica sees this, she enters into the questioning of each person taking the time to make this claim. Although there are several crazy ones that are blaming Kilgrave for the mistakes they made in the past, there are some legit ones there as well. Jessica forms a sort of Kilgrave support group with his victims, and even though she does not want to be a part of it, she knows that talking out what the monster did to them will help in their healing process. While listening to one of the stories being told, Jessica finds out a new clue to where Kilgrave has been hiding and who might be keeping tabs on her around town. Trish is dealing with what has happened to her and when Sargent Simpson shows back up at her door, she does not know what to do. Thinking that he is there to kill her, Trish calls Jessica who is able to defuse the situation when opening the door. As Simpson is blown away that Trish is still alive, he needs to find a way to cope with what he had done and is begging forgiveness, along with a chance to help find Kilgrave and bring him down for what he has done to the innocent. Although Trish knows that Simpson was not trying to kill her on his own, she will not allow him to get near for the fear of what may happen next. Simpson is persistent however and when he delivers Trish a peace offering, the two chat through her reinforced door for a while and find out what makes them both tick. Not being trusting of anyone now, Jessica is trying to find out who is keeping tabs on her for Kilgrave, but with so many people in the Kitchen, it could be one person or it could be many. Keeping her eyes open for anyone suspicious, along with Kilgrave, she has her work cut out for herself. Knowing that she can take care of one of Kilgrave’s targets, Jessica is able to convince Trish to make a public apology on the air for what she had said and a little girl confirmed that she will be safe for the time being. With that out of the way, Jessica works on her case for Mrs. Eastman and finds her husband making is way to an out of the way hotel to take care of his business. When Jessica opens the door to see that the affair he is having is with his wife, she is not sure what Mrs. Eastman really wants until a gun is pointed directly at her. Not forgetting what happened when the Chitauri invaded New York and what the heroes did to defend the city, Audrey Eastman lost her mother and wants to take it out on Jessica for being ‘special’. But Jessica will not go down without a fight and she makes sure that the soon to be unhappy couple understands where she is coming from as well as the hotel room is cut to pieces. You get to learn a little bit more about Jessica and what she is able to do, jumping really high, and what she is dealing with on a personal level. Losing someone close to her is something that she is trying to avoid at all costs, hence why she is keeping everyone at arm’s length for the time being. Trish is having to deal with her own problems and after being attacked, having her attacker come back and try to apologize may not be the healthiest thing, but she gives it a try nonetheless. Sergeant Simpson wants to join the hunt for Kilgrave and is bending the rules he has followed and will do anything to help out Jessica and keep Trish from becoming a victim again. Jeri Hogarth is ready to be divorced so she can run off with her secretary, but her wife is not going to let the marriage end without a fight. Asking Jessica to find the dirt on her wife, Jeri is calling in her favor already, but since she has been the one running around, it does not look like Jessica will be able to deliver any good news. Each episode is better than the last and as you keep learning more about the characters, you like them even more. I cannot wait to see what happens in episode five!
