Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Jessica is bound and determined to help Hope Shlottman the best that she can and when Hope’s new lawyer Jeri says that she will not protect the girl in the public’s eye, Jessica wants to try a different approach. Jeri is not going to lose face by taking the message of mind control public, but if others will step forward against what Kilgrave is alleged to be able to do, she may change her tune. So Jessica takes another path and her friend Trish has an interview set up with Hope from prison that will have the young coed tell her side of the story. When the show ends, Trish goes off on the monster Kilgrave, but she may not fully understand his power, but he makes sure that she does when he calls into the show. Jessica believes that she has found a way to stop Kilgrave dead in his tracks and needs a doctor to make it happen. Finding a surgical anesthesia that knocks its patents out, she turns to Jeri’s wife Wendy to try and procure a supply. When that does not work, Jessica has to find another way to get the dosage that she needs and when it comes to knocking out a couple of people that stand in her way, she is not afraid, but when the body count starts to get too high, she has to form another plan. When her friend Malcolm makes it home, high as a kite, Jessica sees him as the potential distraction she needs and takes him down to the hospital. Being able to cause a scene, Jessica is able to get the drugs that she needs to take Kilgrave down, but timing is everything and she will need to move quickly before something bad happens to somebody else. As advertised, Kilgrave has taken over another mind and is bent on revenge for what has been said about him. Sending Officer Simpson to kill Trish Walker, he may or may not succeed, but all he wants is to make Jessica’s life worse off. Since Trish lives in a fortress and has been taking Krav Maga lessons ever since Jessica hung up her superhero boots, she has been training to fight her own battles. With now being her time to shine, Trish still needs help from her old friend, but what she may not understand could cost her in the end. After a battle and Trish lies lifeless on the floor, the Officer returns to his commander to deliver the news. Following Simpson, Jessica looks right in the eyes of her past tormentor that has returned from the dead. But Kilgrave will not go down without a fight and having control over everyone in the house, Jessica will not be allowed to follow him, but she will see what his obsession really is. With Luke Cage coming clean about who and what he is, he and Jessica have a grand old time trying to break each other in the bedroom. When going out for coffee, Luke is interested if she knows anyone else that has the same sort of powers that they have. Not being truthful, Jessica will not tell Luke about Kilgrave and what the monster put her through and Luke is starting to recognize that she is holding back a secret. But Jessica has work, she always has work and needs to make sure that her cases are being handled the way she seems fit. Looking in Luke’s medicine cabinet, Jessica sees a face from the past and when she finds out that the woman looking back at her in the photo was Luke’s dead wife, she has another secret that could change the couple’s outlook going forward. I didn't think it was possible, but every episode of this show keeps getting better, because this is the best one I have seen thus far and we are only three in. Learning so much more about each character and how much they care for one another, it will be heart breaking when one gets killed off. I was blown away by the interview with Hope, Jeri and Trish since Jeri is not going to say that mind control is what caused her client to kill her parents to keep her sane appearance in the public eye. With plenty of references to the Avengers, Hell’s Kitchen knows that there are people out there with powers and nothing can seem too farfetched when it comes to strange things. With Kilgrave exposed, it is time to take the fight to the next level and Jessica appears to be ready, even though she is shocked to find out how obsessed the mind controlling individual is with her and her daily activities.
