Shae's Geeky Gift Ideas - "Star Wars" Edition

If you haven't seen Star Wars yet, you probably live under a rock. And we also can't be friends. Mostly, what have you been doing with your life that brought you to such a low point! Come on! It's Star Wars! No, but really, this series is near and dear to the hearts of so many. We nerds have been through so much, and a lot of us have these movies to thank for it. Whether you grew up watching it as a kid or an adult, the awe is still the same. So with the new movie release happening today, I felt it was time to get our gift on! Mostly, we gotta learn to treat ourselves, and yes, that does mean buying some awesome Star Wars stuff to bring on the fun.

I was recently at Disney World and the amount of stuff they have there for Star Wars is amazing. I wanted to buy everything. It took a lot of effort to not give in and bring home some expensive Lightsabers. Dad and I resisted, but barely. Oddly I bought myself more random items than anything, and Star Wars was not on the list. But, that doesn't man I haven't been searching for the awesomeness since I got back. HotTopic was my store of choice today, mostly because, hey, everyone has access to one! So head to the site or the store, they have their displays up and a ton of online goodies for the Star Wars geek in your family, or for yourself.

First up, POPs! Be shocked, just go ahead. Take a moment, and be surprised, because yes, I said POPs. I told you I am addicted to these little guys. With only 49 in my collection and 1 an actual Star Wars one, I felt it over due to write about how cute these guys are. The best part of Hot Topic is their exclusive POP! figures, such as Vader here. I've gotten almost all my Supernatural POP! figures here, just because of their exclusive deviations. There is a lot of these little guys running about at the store, and they're adorable. They make great desk ornaments too! Just ask John!

Don't worry, if POP! figures are becoming a problem (which they're not, so go buy more anyway!) then head over to the T-shirt section and buy a Funko POP! shirt! Yes, shirt, I actually got two of these from Mattie for my Birthday (Loki and Groot for those who are curious) and I love them. I've gotten a ton of compliments on them already. Just a bit of a warning, the shirts themselves run a bit large. They're soft comfy, and seriously adorable. I recommend them. While there feel free to pick up any other Star Wars shirt.

I was going to say Shoes might be a good thing to pick up but I was honestly not sure how I felt about the C3PO shoes I found on the site. Frankly, I'm still on the fence. They're cute, but also really weird looking. Still, for that geek girl they're a wonderful addition. They go nicely with this R2D2 dress. Hot Topic has a lot of amazing dresses and shirts for all! I'm pretty sure I've seen some socks too. Who doesn't need socks! I know I do...of course they also have purses and backpacks, so if you want to show off your love of Star Wars on a daily basis, you can! Not to mention, jackets. Because, guys, I might have a jacket problem.....
