Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...When you are doing something that could possibly hurt others, do you ever need to take a second and make sure that what you are doing is right? Wanting what is best for everyone can be a double edged sword since everybody is different and has a different opinion on the matter. It can be a fine line and if you are trying to balance on it, you may find that you are falling off of it more often than not. Since everyone has their own priorities, doing the right thing for many still may not benefit as far as you could have imagined. As Wilson Fisk has turned the tables on Ben Urich’s story that Foggy, Karen and the man in the black mask have been trying to get out to the public, they are not willing to quit. Karen is determined to show the world who this Fisk man really is and what he has done that is not helping the community, but tearing it apart. Foggy is still caught up with the man in the black mask, still believing that he is a killer and wants to protect his city from the vigilante. Being given all of the information to take down Fisk in the public eye, Ben still does not have anyone to collaborate the stories that have been laid in front of him. With a special visit from their favorite client, Elena Cardenas, the group gets a little bit more unsettled. When the old woman has been offered twice as much to move out of her apartment by a new owner, Foggy urges her to stay while he and Matt are able to fight it in court. Knowing that Fisk is somehow involved in the offer, Foggy and Karen try digging even deeper into the elusive man’s past. Matt believes that there is an easier way to get information about Fisk and finds himself in the art gallery where his Vanessa works. Indirectly asking about her relationship and take on Fisk, Matt meets his devil face to face and finds out much more about the man than he wanted to know. Wilson Fisk is having a difficult time proving to his colleagues that he is still in charge of the operation. With Nobu still breathing down his neck, Fisk is forced to take action once again and get the apartment where Elena Cardenas lives cleared out for the triad. After the old tenant has been found murdered at her doorstep, Fisk has cameras following him around and asking him what his thoughts are on his newly attained property. Giving the answers that the people want to hear, Karen, Foggy and Matt know that everything that is coming out of his mouth is a lie, with the exception of wanting to improve the conditions in Hell’s Kitchen, just in a different way. Now on to the meat and potatoes of this episode, Matt’s beliefs being conflicted with a human’s morality. Although Matt knows what he is doing is helping the city, the appearance of Fisk has left him to ask more questions of himself and his work. Wanting to get the answers when talking with his longtime priest, Matt is left with more questions than answers and has to find a reason to carry on with his job. Knowing that has been pinpointed by the police, the media and now Fisk, Matt has to choose his battles more wisely, but when he gets news of Mrs. Cardenas’ death, it puts him over the edge once again and he is further driven to get proof about the man responsible. They just keep sucking you in as this episode plays on. After the last one where we learned about Fisk, this week we get to see who he really is. Knowing that he is the most powerful man in the city, Matt has his own problems that have been made worse by making his devil into a man. This adds to the humanity of the story that is playing out as each man wants what they believe is best for Hell’s Kitchen, but since they are not on the same page as to what that is, there will be more blood in the water before anything gets resolved. It is getting more difficult to wait and see what is going to happen next in this series, since every ending leaves you wanting more.
