Written by ScottyTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...There is no authority left alive in Pretty Lake, or at least a couple of kids think so. Stealing a car from the Lotts’ dealership, they are ready to take the ride of their lives. Ultimately crashing the car, the boys are brought before Chuck for their punishment and given two options, apologize or be strapped to a flag pole. Young Harrison will not bend, knowing that Chuck is not the law and will not play by the rich kids rules and is tied to the flag pole for all of the town to see. But even with his pride intact, Harrison may be in more danger than even he could expect. Melissa is nearing the end of her rope with dealing with the kids all the time. Not being given any help, the high school teacher Ms. Symonds steps in to give the overworked young woman a break. Needing to find her sister, Melissa asks Gord to help in the search and he happily agrees to help. Fearing for Wiley’s baby, Melissa needs to find her before something bad happens to one or both of them. But what Melissa does not know is that Wiley has found a place to stay outside of town that no one would ever expect her to be. Wiley is held up at Pat and Ronnie’s house for the time being. After getting some rest, she decides to go hunting with Ronnie to kill some time, but Ronnie has something different in mind. After sitting and talking for some time, Ronnie starts to get a little touchy, but Wiley is not having any of it. Not being able to explain her feelings for Adam, she pushes Ronnie away, but he will not stop. With rape on his mind, Ronnie forces himself on the new mother and will not stop until he gets everything that he wants. Being hit by a shovel wielded by his sister, Ronnie is out for the count and Wiley gets her first real taste of how the delinquent really is. Making her grow up a little bit faster, she gets back to the house and holds her baby and decides on a name for her child. Adam is still trying to find out what happened to Chuck’s little sister Lana. Walking back to the place where they found her body, Adam stumbles upon a hat that belongs to Pat. Needing further proof, Adam goes to the house and compares the boot prints that were at the scene of the crime with the boots on the front porch. Being a match, Adam knows who the killer is and wants to share his findings, but being talked out of it for the moment by Ms. Symonds, Adam turns his attention to celebrating his teacher’s birthday with her. But the fun only lasts so long when Pat finds the two and gives his side of the story and passes on the suicide note that Lana left. Being shot at by Chuck and his boys, Pat is able to escape the town, but knows that there is going to be something much worse on the horizon. Finding a full beer truck, Mark has made his way out of jail and into Pretty Lake. Looking for a money making opportunity, he is able to reach an agreement with Stacey to open the bar up again and exploit the goods that they have. Selling to anyone that comes into the bar seems like a good idea, but Chuck is quick to put an end to it when he sees what is happening. Kicking out all of the younger kids, the bar continues to serve anyone eighteen and up. Mark is happy with how it is going, but gets a friendly visit from the guard that let him loose and is employed to be her eyes and ears in the town. The town of Pretty Lake is falling apart and nobody seems to see it happening. Although Chuck is trying to be the law and help protect people from harm, he seems to be making it worse. With it being his way or the highway, a small blowup between him and Gord is going to be called for since they are the two trying to keep the town from falling into shambles. You get a little bit of life out of Wiley in this episode, finally, and it is a shame she had to go through almost getting raped to change her outlook on life. Tensions are running high, but on the positive note, the town got its power back and only one person lost their life in the episode, and it was to the virus…and possibly the power coming back on. There is something seedy happening with the prison guard right now as well, but will just have to wait and see what or who she is really working for.
