Written by: ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Ever wonder who clean's up after Superheroes and Villains have their big show downs; destroying cities? Turns out, S.H.I.E.L.D. does! In the aftermath of the events of Thor: The Dark World, S.H.I.E.L.D. sends Coulson and his team (along with other agents) to help clean up London and store away any alien bits left over. Such a glamorous job for a talented team of expert agents. Meanwhile, in Norway (land of the Nords!) a couple chops down a tree, splits it open, and finds a strange, engraved, piece of a weapon. When touched, the weapon unleashes the rage, anger, and hate in a person and allows them to do superhuman feats. Like, throwing cars, killing other humans with one punch, and being really, soothingly, angry. The team gets called in from clean up duty to investigate. Thank's to Simmons and Fitz, they're able to make a 3D printed model of what the object from the tree looks like. With elaborate carvings and strange writings, it's a mystery. Time to call in an expert. Agent Coulson pays a special visit to Professor Elliot Randolph. An expert in all things Norse mythology Randolph identifies the object as a piece of a Berserker Staff…apparently it's an Asgardian weapon that unleashes rage in order to make warriors better. This one was left here because it's owner decided to break it into three pieces and live on Earth in peace. Touching story, really. With a clue as to where the next piece may be, the team heads off to find it. And find it they do, only they're not the only ones after the remaining pieces of the staff. Professor Randolph found the next piece. Agent Ward attempts to take it from him, by grabbing the object…and becomes 'infected' with the unleashed rage. The staff piece doesn't stay with the professor for long. The couple who originally found the first piece show up and take the second. Randolph is taken into custody by the team and brought onto the plane. Here, let's just take a moment to appreciate Agent Ward (Brett Dalton) and his shirtless scene. Why? Because let's be honest, we all secretly wished we had abs like that. Ward expresses his unsureness to contain his anger and rage to Coulson, who decides to send him in to interrogate Randolph. As it so happens, Randolph is the Asgardian who stayed and the Staff is his…in the meantime, Ward's anger is fueled by a single memory. One of a little boy in a well, calling for help. His brother. As they go to retrieve the last piece of the staff, Ward is confronted with the memory in full. Of how he and some other kid watched his brother in the well for some time, Grant attempting to lower the rope to him; the other kid threatening to throw him down there if he did… Never to be out done, a group of people (followers of the couple from before) show up with the third and final piece. Grant fights them off with the two pieces of the staff. He's exhausted by the end of it. The girl from the very beginning shows up. Ward goes to get up and fight her, but it's May who stops him. She picks up the pieces of the staff (which fuse back together) and fights flawlessly (as always). May sets the staff down and walks away. The Team decides to stay for the night. Skye attempts to talk to Ward, who brushes her off. As he's about to enter his hotel room, May stands in the doorway of her own just down the hall; a bottle of alcohol in hand. She leaves the door open or Ward…who walks in and closes it. Agent Coulson has a dream about Tahiti. And the show ends. Because, just when the pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place, they're yanked away! Did Ward and May hookup? Is Coulson okay? And What about Fitz and Simmons!? Will they ever get together!? My two biggest questions are: What really happened to Coulson. And, are we going to get anymore Cameos!? Cameos would be awesome. I'm talking to you Jeremy Renner.
