Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...Last time on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we got a complete slap to the feels. Is that possible? With this show, anything is possible. The hunt for the City begins, but there is some competition. HYDRA is always on the tails of our Team. Thankfully they have one of the higher ranking members courtesy of a very insane former agent Ward. To get the info needed from the guy, Bobbi is sent to be the top interrogator that she is. The guy isn't giving up any Intel on his boss. Whitehall might have some secrets of his own...thankfully, the Team is in an old HYDRA base that was converted to a S.H.I.E.L.D. one by Peggy Carter herself. thanks to Simmons' hunt for more information, Hunter comes across a very interesting file. It seems Whitehall is not the age he appears to be. The HYDRA head is in fact older than anyone on the Team. By all accounts he should be dead, not looking pretty young and spry for his supposed age. What makes him look this way? Well, we do find out. The Obelisk, the original 0-8-4, is a killing machine. Well, more like it chooses who is worthy of touching it. Those who are, don't burn to a crisp and die. Instead, they might be granted with something akin to immortality. One of these people was found by Whitehall. When she was forced to touch the Obelisk, nothing happened to her. Years later, she was found, and hadn't aged a day. Whitehall saw this as something that needed to be studied. In the end, he took everything he possibly could from her; every organ, and magically, he became young again. The woman in question? She just so happens to be Skye's mother. Skye's dad? Guess he's working with Whitehall as a way to get closer to the old man before killing him. Skye's dad meets with part of the Team in Australia. A plan is set to crash a massive, highly guarded network, in order to hack the back up and get a proper scan of the world to find the city Coulson's looking for. It seems the alien, the Obelisk, and the city are all connected. Skye's dad gives a warning to Coulson...and then disappears. Ward? He went off to meet his dear brother on his parents old property. The well is dug up and Ward finally forces Christian to confess. It seems Grant was telling the truth about Christian forcing him to not help Tommy up from the Well...to make things better, Ward might have slaughtered his parents and brother...all before going to join Whitehall and Skye's father. Seems he's willing to stay with HYDRA. Or is he playing them as well? We may find out tonight...who can we really trust?
