Written by ShaeTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...It’s been a while since I’ve written about this show, so I thought I would give Mattie a break, and share my thoughts on the recent happenings. Also, seriously, I’ve missed geeking out about the awesomeness that is S.H.I.E.L.D. So, last week, Skye took over the world. I’m just kidding. That’s the season finale. Bobbi and Mack did spar, however, and we should take a moment to just relish in the sight that was. Much relishing! Alright, so. Skye is trying to talk some sense into her mom, because mommy wants to just dump Cal and be done with him. He’s not part of her people, and therefore can’t stay there. Skye being the caring person she is, talks sense into the woman. She’ll go with Cal and break it all to him gently. That will make it all easier for everyone, and he shouldn’t flip out and kill people. This is agreed upon…with some conditions Skye is unaware of. Either way, Cal seems to be enjoying this time with Skye. He literally seems happier and normal, and she’s kind of enjoying it herself. Skye didn’t get to have that happy family experience, so this is all new for her. Still, she knows it can’t last. Trying to find a polite way to say what she has to do is proving harder. In the meantime, Simmons is trying to ‘break’ into Fury’s box. Except the box they have is a fake. She switched it out and gave the real one to Fitz, who might be on the run from S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. She confesses this to May, who tells Bobbi that Fitz switched them out and it’s really Simmons covering for him. Guess May really is on their side. Ish. Fitz, finally shook his tails and got rescued by Coulson! With Mike on their side, there’s nothing they can’t do! Also, they need Mike for Coulson’s next plan. He needs the HYDRA agent Ward has…for purposes…also, Ward and Agent 33 being together is seriously weird. I don’t like it. One bit. At all. But, okay. So, they’re together, and Coulson and Mike take 33, and get Ward to have a sit down chat with him. Coulson is offering him a deal. Help get to a specific, higher up, HYDRA agent. Mike poses as Bakshi’s bodyguard, which goes well…until it doesn’t. Things are delayed as HYDRA is on the hunt for a certain teleporting inhuman… They happen to track it to the building Skye and Cal are in…and, that goes just as well as expected. Coulson and Ward go in with Agent 33 and Hunter to find Skye. The fight is awesome, minus Hunter getting shot, and soon Skye is being whisked away by Gordon, Cal tagging along, before Coulson’s very eyes…Hunter is shot, Ward isn’t backstabbing anyone, and Simmons is mad at May. Like, this show has seriously taken me for a ride with all the emotions! I can hardly believe what’s happened in such a short amount of time. Also, I can’t believe Ward is helping them. In the end, Mike and an Inhuman are captured by Bakshi, who probably is a traitorous snake, oh wait, he is, and it’s all a mess…hopefully tonight will make the feels feel better.
