Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Recap: "Heavy Is the Head"

Last week on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. we learned the true meaning of friendship! I’m just kidding…. we really learned not to betray our friends. Mostly, because it’s just not nice; thankfully nobody really betrayed anyone. Not technically. In this episode, our body changing baddie is still on the loose with this mysterious, original, 0-8-4. With two agents down, and a third injured, the odds are not looking good.

But the Team has their hands on something very important, a Quinjet, and that gives them an advantage over the U.S. Military. With the help of Fitz, Mac is able to replicate the technology. While May follows our mutant bad guy, waiting to see whom his HYDRA contact is. Skye is starting to worry about Coulson, and Triplett is still very pretty. With all of that going on, it seems General Talbot has taken an interest in our mercenary. He offers the man a deal…Deliver Coulson to him for the low price of 2 million dollars. Not that bad of a deal right? Of course he takes it.

As if things couldn’t get any worse, Raina shows up again. Offering our man with the changing skin a rare metal that’s three times stronger than diamond. He takes it, of course. Never let it be said that you can trust the girl in the flower dress. Raina gets in contact with Coulson, and informs him that the metal she gave our baddy has a tracking device in it. She’s no longer working for HYDRA. Instead, she’s working for Skye’s father. Why? We’ll hopefully find out soon. 

Though he is intent on finding his daughter. Coulson formulates a plan, and Fitz and Mac find a way to neutralize the powers of the changing man. He’s turned to stone by an old invention courtesy of Fitz’. Coulson brings the now, fully stone, bad guy to Talbot, with another offer of partnership. Talbot refuses, and Coulson leaves with both the Quinjet and Bus in full stealth mode.

So what’s next? Raina is out there, with Skye’s dad, and both have the 0-8-4. Talbot is still on their heels…and Simmons? She’s nowhere to be found…or is she? With so much going on, it’s hard to wait until tonight for the newest episode.
