Written by John Edward BetancourtTHIS IS THE EMERGENCY SPOILER ALERT SYSTEM...YOU ARE ADVISED TO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK...It's been an incredible build up when it comes to Agent Carter. We've been dying to know what would happen if and when the SSR discovered Peggy was the mystery woman at the club and of course Leviathan has loomed large over the show. But last night, the build up came to a head in explosive fashion in "A Sin to Err". Turns out that Leviathan is, for all intents and purposes, the Russian version of S.H.I.E.L.D. since they are hellbent on finding only the finest weapons and making sure they have the most terrifying and lethal soldiers known to man. I'm fairly certain this is all going to lead to the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D. but in the here and now, all this new information provided by the SSR's new guest from Russia has piqued Peggy's attention, especially the new line of female assassin that the USSR is clearly developing, specifically that such an agent may be how Leviathan got its hands on Stark technology. In a big surprise, the chief lets her explore this lead and she of course enlists the help of Jarvis. As she begins to look for this mystery woman that likely got close to Howard to steal the technology, Sousa uncovers the truth, visiting our rogue milk delivery man in prison and showing him a picture of Peggy to get a positive ID on Carter. This of course leads to the most impressive action of the night as Peggy quickly puts down any SSR agent on the hunt for her, as she begins to plan her escape to safety. But before she goes, she needs the vial of Steve's blood and returns to The Griffith to retrieve it, which turns out to be a costly move. Despite the fact she is almost successful in her endeavor, she is ill prepared for Dottie, who gives her a dose of her own medicine, with a kiss that only a Black Widow can provide complete with the lipstick Peggy has used to knock others out. It of course leads to her capture, but there are still bigger problems at hand. Dottie is still on the loose, and the ally that the SSR thinks they have in their Russian psychiatrist is supremely loyal to Leviathan. Seriously though, wow, what an episode. This is one that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time as the intrigue and tension built up minute by minute. I'm so happy we finally have our answers as to what the heck Leviathan is all about and I love the fact that in many ways this evil organization is using fear to confuse and bewilder their opponents. The focus on Stark is what they wanted all along, Peggy "betraying" them only sweetens the pot. In reality, this is the setup for the grand finale, a showdown between the SSR and Leviathan that I have a feeling will end in awesome fashion.
