Written by John Edward Betancourt September really does feature quite the shift for everyone. After all, outdoor activities slow down because kids are back at school, and we start to shift our thinking toward indoor events and busting out the winter gear because that chill has arrived in the air, all of which serves as the anthesis of how the summer went and that is why… television networks work so hard to have a bevy of programming ready for us to enjoy. So that we are indeed fueled mentally as we shift our focus away from summer and STARZ… has plenty on the fall horizon for us to help with that. For they’re using the fall season to properly bid farewell to Power Book II: Ghost, and they’re using this chill in the air to debut a powerhouse limited series that features stories that need to be told. Alongside the usual amazing movies, they add to their lineup and well, since you are indeed starting to think about those indoor activities, here is the September 2024 programming lineup from STARZ. So, you can keep your schedule loaded with plenty of incredible entertainment as the seasons begin to change. 'STARZ announces its programming highlights for the month of September, featuring the series premiere of “Three Women,” a limited series based on the New York Times bestselling book that explores female desire through the compellingly raw and honest stories of three women on a crash course to radically change their lives. Also premiering is Part Two of the final season of “Power Book II: Ghost.” On the film front, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Imaginary, Arthur The King, Knock At The Cabin, The Strangers: Chapter 1, Training Day, Ant-Man and several other notable titles join the STARZ app this month.' STARZ Original SeriesThe second half of the fourth and final season of “Power Book II: Ghost” premieres on Friday, September 6, at midnight ET on the STARZ app. On linear, it will air on STARZ at 8:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S. and 9:00 PM ET in Canada on linear. Part one of “Power Book II: Ghost” uncovered unanswered high-stakes questions. Part two of the final season will showcase the adage “Like father, Like son.” Tariq finds himself in an eerily similar situation, just like his late father, Ghost, stuck between a rock and a hard place, with the choice to leave the game or take over. Entrapped by Detective Carter, the Tejada family realizes their safety is not guaranteed. Monet fiercely fights for her family to become whole again, but is it too late? Noma is working her way to the top of the food chain. Meanwhile, her daughter, Anya, gets too close to the game, forcing Noma to think twice about her actions.
The limited event series “Three Women,” explores a nuanced portrait of female desire through the compellingly raw and honest stories of three women. Starring Shailene Woodley (“Big Little Lies,” The Descendants), Betty Gilpin (“Gaslit,” “GLOW”), DeWanda Wise (“She’s Gotta Have It,” Jurassic World: Dominion), Gabrielle Creevy (“In My Skin,” “The Pact”), Blair Underwood (“In Treatment,” “Impeachment: American Crime Story,” “Your Honor”), Jason Ralph (“The Magicians,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) and John Patrick Amedori (“Dear White People,” She Won’t Forget), the series is based on the instant #1 New York Times bestselling book of the same name from literary sensation Lisa Taddeo. “Three Women” will premiere Friday, September 13 at midnight on the STARZ app. On linear, it will debut on STARZ at 10:00 PM ET/PT in the U.S. The titular series finds three women on a crash course to radically overturn their lives. Lina (Gilpin), a homemaker in suburban Indiana, is a decade into a passionless marriage when she embarks on an affair that quickly becomes all-consuming and transforms her life. Sloane (Wise), a glamorous entrepreneur in the Northeast, has a committed open marriage with Richard (Underwood), until two sexy new strangers threaten their aspirational love story. Maggie (Creevy), a student in North Dakota, weathers an intense storm after accusing her married English teacher (Ralph) of an inappropriate relationship. Gia (Woodley), a writer grieving the loss of her family, persuades each of these three spectacular "ordinary" women to tell her their stories, and her relationships with them change the course of her life forever.
