One particular aspect of the healing process that we don’t discuss enough in this life, is the sheer fact that life goes on while we heal. Which is important to discuss because in a perfect world we would be able to just sit, and reflect on our pain, and perhaps spend time with a doctor so we can process and heal in a proper way. But there are bills to pay, people that depend upon us and that makes for chaos when we heal. The kind that forces us to reconcile on the fly and do our best to take a moment where we can, and well… that’s top of mind today simply because it was put on display in the next episode of Found on NBC. A feat that ‘Missing While Witnessed’ accomplished courtesy of a supremely unique case. Because one fine morning, after Gabi came to learn that Sir rejected the plea deal and that the plan was to get her on the stand when the trial came round… she and the M&A team were faced with a kidnapping, that had not been reported to the police. For a sweet old lady just thought it would be best to reach out to the experts, and that prompted the team to spring into action and do their best to bring this person home. Of course, since this team is now a well-oiled machine and know how to work with one another and not with Sir, they were able to learn that this was all because of a work incident and a jealous lover, and that the good Samaritan turned in her own family to clear her conscience. Which brought home the person in question (also in a unique way) and gave them a chance at a new life, one complete with financial restitution in hand since they were also coming into money through unique loss. But truly, it’s what happened during the case that we need to focus upon. Because that is what explored the central theme. For instance, Gabi learning about Heather’s plans was a great example of that. Because she is trying so hard to be free of Sir, and to heal from his special brand of evil, and being dragged into court nonsense won’t allow for proper healing to take place. But the world doesn’t allow it all the time, and we do our best to move ahead, and thanks to her support network, since Trent kept Sir at bay, she was able to do so, despite some real concerns about how the missing person case ended. Since one cannot help but wonder who brought that lost soul to her basement. But truly, the more harrowing aspect of this truth was handled through Margaret in this story. Because she and Jamie were on shaky ground. In part because Jamie was getting closer to telling Trent his story, and that can absolutely raise tensions since it brings up old skeletons. But that shaky ground just had Margaret relive the days following Jamie’s disappearance and it brought up old fears and encouraged new ones. So, she spent most of this episode, doing her best to navigate her fears while living life. All of which made for a supremely powerful set of stories that showcased how hard it is to live and heal. But alas, until we properly recognize the need to heal, the need to refresh, this will be the world. So, all we can do is lean on our friends, lean on our family and forge ahead and take breaks when we must, to not let life overwhelm and of course… do the work when we can. Yet while that made for a comprehensive and thoughtful, and downright relatable episode for some, it still had some real drama and worry in it. After all, Heather is indeed doing right by Sir and doing her best to make sure he will be a free man, and there are concerns regarding Jamie. Since he took the time to step into Sir’s new lair, a place where he has friends now, and speak with him. Which is huge and a betrayal for certain and that sets the stage for more drama and struggle when it comes to Sir. Since he wants any window, he can get. All of which has us ready for more of this show, and it’s amazing life lessons and truly… it will be fascinating to see what lie ahead for Gabi and the team, now that someone in their midst is cozying up to their greatest threat. Until next time. Watch ‘Found’
