It is definitely safe to say, that it has been a long time since nerds and geeks everywhere have been able to talk in depth about the wondrous series that is Doctor Who. Because we haven’t had a fresh adventure with the Doctor since ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ and there's been little news about the new series and let’s be honest… it makes sense as to why we’ve been deprived of more Team TARDIS adventures and tidbits. For this saga had to deal with the same pandemic related challenges as everyone else and that’s not a bad thing by any means, since slowing down production kept the cast and crew of this series as safe as can be.
But at last, we are finally seeing some progress in the fight against Covid, and the vaccine and new safety measures are allowing for shows to return to production and that includes Doctor Who, which is back to filming regular episodes. In fact, they’re so far into production of a new year of storytelling… that everyone involved with the series was able to speak to the upcoming new series at Comic-Con@Home and offer up all kinds of delightful tidbits as to what we can expect from the Doctor’s latest adventures. Such as the fact that the show is returning later this year, with a slight format change storytelling wise. For the series is opting to go old school and bring back the serialized storytelling that permeated the adventures of the first Seven Doctors and it was also announced today that a new character named Vinder, played by Jacob Anderson, will join Dan and Yaz and the Doctor in their shenanigans. But what matters most, is that we finally got a trailer for series 13 and well, without further ado, courtesy of BBC and BBC America, here is that trailer and some new images from the new series for everyone to peruse as we prepare to climb aboard the TARDIS for another adventure through time and space.
